TV explorer Levison Wood embarks on biggest adventure – fatherhood with Brazilian model
Displaying an unwavering confidence bordering on ‘almost blind optimism’, he rarely contemplates defeat. This indomitable spirit, which has carried him through active service in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as journeys around the Arabian Peninsula, along the River Nile, and across the Himalayas, even extended to a moment when the brakes on a car failed, causing him to leap off a cliff.
However, Levison Wood himself confessed that he’s faced challenges in one perplexing setting – the modern dating landscape. He shared with me earlier his desire to meet ‘a woman who embraces adventure and enjoys having a good time’.
It’s exciting to announce that the ex-Parachute Regiment officer who is now an explorer, writer, and broadcaster, has achieved what he can rightfully call his biggest success yet…He’s on the verge of becoming a father, having been smitten by Brazilian star, Ana Protasio, a woman whose achievements span various domains.
In the Alps, Levison, aged 43, shares with me that Ana, who is a therapist, yoga instructor, and model, is multitasking between these roles. When not working, they both enjoy unwinding in their unique way – Ana might be practicing yoga or engaging in therapy sessions, while Levison prefers to scale mountains, a pastime that reflects his distinctive style.
It would seem an appropriately invigorating prelude to the impending addition to the Wood family.
Levison confidently shares that by the end of July, we’ll be welcoming our first baby into the world. This seasoned traveler, who has traversed more than 120 countries, has faced challenges such as broken bones, encounters with tigers and crocodiles, and even one cannibal up to this point.
The idea of sneaking through the foliage seems appealing, given their romantic connection, as the couple met while traveling in Costa Rica and have remained friends since then. Levison explains, “We reconnected last year.
As a respectful and professional individual, he chooses not to reveal Ana’s age nor confirm their relationship status – be it engagement or marriage. However, he does affirm that they share a deep commitment to one another.

Speaking for myself, I’m brimming with enthusiasm about several captivating ventures I’d like to embark on across South America. Notably, my most recent publication, The Great Tree Story: How Forests Have Shaped Our World, graced bookshelves this past spring.
That should earn Ana’s seal of approval.
How Princess Anne put boot into rugby star
Princess Anne took pleasure in bringing Kenny Logan, the Scottish rugby international, back down to earth whenever he was excessively proud of representing his nation.
53-year-old Logan recounts being part of the World Cup team in 2003 when England emerged victorious. At that moment, our coach, Ian McGeechan, said something I’d never forget: “Remember, five million Scots are cheering you on.” As I stepped onto the field and turned around to acknowledge the crowd, there was Princess Anne waiting for me.
In response to her asking, “Are you alright, Kenny?”, I replied casually, “Yep, yep.”, then we exchanged a handshake. Surprised, she commented, “I can’t believe you’re still playing the game.
He mentions about the princess, who’s the patron of Scottish Rugby: ‘We both loved horses, farmed, and spent time outdoors. We had a wonderful rapport. To this day, when I see her, she’ll either greet me or attempt to offer me a horse or similar items.’

For renowned personality, Sir Michael Palin, there’s nothing quite like his long-standing home in the underrated district of Gospel Oak, North London – a humble abode he and his late spouse, Helen, acquired back in 1966.
He’s chosen not to follow the common practice among celebrities of moving into larger, more lavish homes. The ex-Monty Python star, now 82, attributes this modest lifestyle to Helen’s influence on him.
I enjoy interacting with people, learning about their experiences. I wouldn’t want my occupation to isolate me from that. This place is quite charming, offering a variety of amenities. It seems perfect for what one needs. So, why relocate unless there’s a compelling reason or requirement?
His only concession was to buy the cottage next door and combine the houses.

Lady Amelia takes a twirl at art show…
It appears that Lady Amelia Windsor, whose sibling Marina recently announced their engagement, seems to be in a festive spirit.
At the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition preview event, held in the courtyard of Burlington House, the Duke of Kent’s 29-year-old granddaughter gracefully spun around.
At an art exhibition, it was Lady Amelia, formerly known as the ‘most beautiful royal’ by Tatler magazine, who donned a striking, one-shouldered, lime green minidress.
Her sister, Lady Marina, 32, is to wed IT specialist Nico Macauley.

…While potter Perry really is a picture
It was highly unlikely that Sir Grayson Perry would blend into the masses during the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition’s preview event, as he is known for making a striking impression.
The elderly potter with a penchant for cross-dressing stood out in a vibrant display, sporting a lively purple wig and a striking jumper adorned with oversized puff sleeves in shades of orange and yellow.
He paired the eccentric top with blue satin shorts, orange tights and fuchsia pink laced boots.
The ceramicist has been a member of the Royal Academy since 2011.

Kemi Badenoch shares that every living ex-Conservative leader has given her guidance, excluding one – Liz Truss. In a conversation with her, she mentions, “Every single one of them has offered me help, except for Liz [Truss].” (In a light-hearted manner)
In my own words, I’d say, “She is the go-to person for advice, isn’t she? Now, I wonder if she has my contact information since her math skills aren’t exactly her strong suit.
