Turning Bianca Belair Heel Could Be an Interesting Wrinkle for the EST in 2025
As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the ebb and flow of professional wrestling for decades, I must say that the prospect of turning Bianca Belair heel is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it could inject much-needed heat into the women’s division, which currently lacks a marquee heel. On the other, it risks alienating fans who have grown to love her for her authenticity and inspiring journey.
It’s incredibly challenging to root against Bianca Belair due to her compelling history, heartwarming backstory, and genuine demeanor. A heel turn for Belair could add intrigue, but it’s difficult to imagine given her likable persona. However, she has managed to maintain a babyface role, with the crowd neither booing nor cheering much for “EST.” The most challenging response in professional wrestling is indifference, and watching the crowds lose interest in both Belair and Jade Cargill is hard to endure. Despite their frequent appearances on TV and premium events, this lack of reaction is already troubling. Jade’s recent backstage attack storyline has generated fan interest, particularly about who was behind it. If Bianca were involved in the attack, that might be a good development for the storyline.
Turning Bianca Belair heel call’s back to her NXT run
Initially, Bianca had a more aggressive or villainous persona, often using her hair like a whip and performing outside the WWE Universe in events such as the Mae Young classic and mixed-match challenge. However, when she officially joined the WWE, she used her EST (Everything She Touches Turns to Gold) claims to be bold and brash. Bianca was unique because she could fit on either side of the roster. She frequently reminded NXT fans that despite the hierarchy, she considered herself the “greatest, strongest, smartest, worst tempered, and prettiest” person in the roster. Her matches showcased her strength and athleticism. This self-assured Bianca didn’t disappear; instead, they shifted the narrative to focus on her real-life achievements, abilities, and personality. A change in perspective can sometimes bring about a transformation.
If Bianca were to assault Jade, it would contradict one of Jade’s fundamental principles. Such an action might be intended to eliminate competition, which is not characteristic of a genuine, honorable athlete aiming for victory. Taking such a low blow against a teammate would be even more questionable than NXT Belair. Even if Bianca didn’t attack her directly, aligning with the aggressor would certainly alienate dedicated viewers and generate negative attention, which is precisely what WWE currently needs on their women’s roster.
Smackdown is missing a marquee heel in the women’s division
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are the main villains in Smackdown, but it seems unlikely that their alliance will continue, as one might switch sides to become a hero. Chelsea Green, another heel on Smackdown, is so talented that she could easily be a fan favorite instead. Raw faces a similar problem with their women’s division. When WWE needs a strong face, they may find the feud options lacking. Bringing Bianca back as a face character could address this issue for them.
Bianca possesses qualities similar to WWE’s Four Horsewomen, making her a strong contender. Interestingly, one of the original horsewomen is currently working elsewhere. Currently, all of them are portrayed as good characters, which means they might not be available for a main event match-up against another good character, often referred to as a “boss battle.” Bianca’s background and strength make her a believable threat in the ring and on the roster. Very few women have headlined WrestleMania. Bianca is one of five such women, with two having left the company, and the remaining two are currently absent. With a shortage of formidable heel threats, Bianca seems like an excellent choice.
Montez Ford could turn heel alongside her
While the heel turn has a blueprint and could really help WWE out, turning Bianca Belair’s heel could also help another superstar. Well, there are two if you count her presumed first rival in, Jade Cargill. Montez Ford and the Street Profits have been floundering for a long time, after being a staple of the tag team scene. Montez is usually seen as the potential breakout star between himself and his pal Angelo Dawkins. That often gets conflated with a feel-good babyface rise to the world title. His future may lie in a modern Edge and Lita dynamic, with Bianca taking a leading role.

The Street Profits, under Bobby Lashley’s leadership, seemed destined to become villains (heels), but everyone adores Lashley too much. This made it difficult for them to actually become heels. After Lashley left and the time was ripe, WWE didn’t really explore this option. They gradually became less relevant until recent tweets sparked attention. If Bianca is going to have a prolonged heel phase, it would be beneficial to have someone acting as a buffer while also rising through the ranks, similar to what Lita did with Edge. Making Montez a heel would surprise many. If they turned heel together as real-life couple, it could increase the surprise factor.
Is it really time to consider turning Bianca Belair heel
One aspect that hasn’t been fully explored in turning Bianca Belair into a villain is whether this move could truly benefit Bianca herself. While the move does have some precedent and fits within a straightforward narrative, it remains uncertain if it serves Bianca’s best interests.
