Today, Apogee Entertainment unveiled Turbo Overkill, a swift-moving cyberpunk game developed by Trigger Happy Interactive – creators of the acclaimed Total Chaos mod for DOOM II.
Drawing inspiration from Duke Nukem, Turbo Overkill casts you as Johnny Turbo, a cybernetically enhanced protagonist who’s unique for his chainsaw leg. You will engage in battles against rogue AI Syn, voiced by Patricia Summersett of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fame, and your nemesis, the bounty hunter Maw, brought to life by Gianni Matragano, known for his role in Neon White.
In the game, Turbo Overkill, Duke Nukem’s voice actor, Jon St. John, lends his voice to Johnny’s AI friend, SAMM. This high-speed action game runs at 60fps on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. You can play it now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99. Additionally, a spin-off game is being developed to go along with it.
