Tulsa King Season 3 Brings Back Original Gang Members Fred and Clint

Be warned, this article reveals key plot points from season 3, episode 7 of Tulsa King. Two characters who were originally part of Dwight’s crew have returned after being absent for several episodes. The show’s cast has evolved over time; at the end of season 2, some characters, like Jackie Ming and Jimmy the Creek, were killed off, and others, such as Tina Manfredi and Stacy Beale, left the series.

While some characters have left the main storyline in Tulsa King, a couple have returned. Episode 6 of season 3 brought back two members of Dwight’s original crew and finally gave them meaningful roles. This return also showed why season 3 of Tulsa King feels more streamlined and purposeful than earlier seasons.

Fred & Clint Finally Reappeared In Tulsa King Season 3, Episode 6

In season 3, episode 6 of Tulsa King, Fred and Clint – two characters who were originally part of Dwight’s crew – finally had more significant roles. They first appeared in season 1 working at a weed dispensary with Bodhi, and became regular members of Dwight’s group in season 2, showing up in every episode. However, they hadn’t been prominently featured until this recent episode in season 3.

Fred and Clint had small roles early in season 3 of Tulsa King, first appearing at the car dealership in the premiere and then as guests at the bourbon tasting in episode 5. But they became more involved in episode 6. Fred supplied cars that the group used to sneak liquor across state lines, and both he and Clint participated in raiding the distillery after it was closed.

Clint and Fred had a slightly bigger part in episode 6 of Tulsa King season 3 than they’ve had throughout the rest of the season. It was also the first time the show has brought them back into the story in a meaningful way, after building them up as important characters alongside Bodhi in season 2. Previously, they were heavily involved in running the Even Higher Plane, but now their role has been reduced to simply being mentioned as running the car dealership.

Fred & Clint Taking A Back Seat Is Good For Tulsa King

Although it’s a shame to see characters like Fred and Clint fade into the background, it was a smart move for Tulsa King. By focusing on other characters – like Mitch, Bodhi, and Grace – the show can develop their stories more fully. If the series had to keep checking in on Fred and Clint, we might have missed out on important storylines, such as Bodhi’s quest for revenge.

Season 3 of Tulsa King has improved by focusing on fewer side characters. Mitch and Bodhi, especially, feel more well-rounded and relatable this season. Mitch now has a romantic storyline with Cleo Montague, moving beyond simply being Dwight’s advisor. Similarly, Bodhi has formed a friendship with Grace and is motivated by a desire for justice after Jimmy the Creek’s death, rather than just providing comic relief.

The absence of Fred and Clint in Tulsa King doesn’t really hurt the show. While they were part of Dwight’s original crew, they weren’t particularly compelling characters. This is partly because they didn’t appear much, but also because they lacked unique personalities. They were mostly just along for the adventure, unlike other members of the gang who are more fully developed.

Reducing the roles of Fred and Clint in season 3 of Tulsa King has actually helped the show become more streamlined. The new season isn’t as tangled with numerous relationships like it was in the first two seasons with Dwight’s crew. By focusing less on Clint and Fred, the other characters have more opportunities to stand out.
