Tulisa’s bombshell claims: Singer details battle with addiction, suicide attempts and her heartbreaking response to sex tape scandal

In her forthcoming memoir, Tulisa Contostavlos leaves nothing concealed as she shares her personal journey, including struggles with addiction, two instances of attempting suicide, and the controversy surrounding her sex tape incident.

In a straightforward and engaging style: At thirty-seven years old, the artist pledged unyielding truthfulness in her book, titled “Judgement: Love, Challenges, and Hardships,” and she’s lived up to that promise throughout.

As reported by The Mirror, the member of N-Dubz documents her challenging “horrid year” during her court trial related to a drug investigation, resulting in two suicide attempts.

She wrote about the day she learned she would be accused under suspicion of dealing in Class A drugs: ‘Why am I facing this situation?’

Why endure existence only to suffer? What hope remains for joy amidst these trials? Regardless of exoneration, the toll on my emotional well-being will likely leave me hollow by the conclusion. My life, irrevocably damaged, will bear the weight of this ordeal.

Fortunately, Gareth Varey, a past close friend, discovered her in her bathroom surrounded by discarded sleeping pill packages. He then promptly dialed for an ambulance.

During the time when Tulisa recovered, she sadly attempted suicide again several months later, while her trial was ongoing. This tragic act led to her being admitted to the hospital for a span of three consecutive days.

During difficult periods, Tulisa often found solace by retreating into the bathroom and seeking self-comfort.

She shared that growing up, her home only had one room with a lock – the bathroom. Whenever she felt upset, due to arguments between her parents resembling two raging bulls in a delicate china shop or her mother’s mental health issues causing turbulence, she would seek solace by locking herself inside this room. It was always her sanctuary for safety.

Twenty long years passed, and there I found myself once more, sprawled on the cold bathroom floor. It seems my past troubles never truly vanished. When the release of that scandalous video occurred, I endured a five-day vigil on this same bathroom floor.

In 2012, when Tulisa was experiencing peak popularity, her former boyfriend Justin Edwards (with whom she split in 2009) leaked an explicit video featuring her.

Revenge porn was not illegal at the time, meaning she only managed to get a court apology from him.

In another part of the book, Tulisa shared that during her bout with depression, she developed an addiction to sleeping pills and benzodiazepines. However, she managed to break this habit only last year when she found inner tranquility and renewed her faith.

Tulisa’s autobiography narrates her journey to fame and unfortunate downfall, stemming from being caught up in an undercover sting operation by the controversial journalist, Mazher Mahmood, infamously known as the ‘Fake Sheikh’.

Later, the singer openly acknowledged that her life unraveled after a complex undercover operation led to her arrest on charges of suspected drug trafficking, specifically dealing with Class A substances. However, she strongly rejected these allegations.

During the court proceedings, Tulisa chose to record her experiences in a diary, describing how her trial affected her personally and the damaging consequences it had for her professional life.

Released by Blink Publishing for Bonnier Books UK, Judgement is now available to purchase.
