Tulisa Contostavlos shared that she still feels endangered, mentioning that she has a knife kept beneath her mattress ever since the distressing incident from 2013.

Almost faced a four-year sentence in prison following an arrest on alleged drug trafficking charges. This was after Tulisa was deceived by Mazher Mahmood, famously known as the “Fake Sheikh,” into providing him with a contact from whom he later purchased £800 worth of cocaine.

For much of her life, the singer from N-Dubz, who is now 36 years old, has kept a weapon beneath her bed due to feeling threatened. This fear stemmed from believing that people might have been attempting to harm her, particularly when she was deceived by Mahmood.

Tulisa was presented an offer worth £3.5 million for a potential role, with the assurance that she’d share screen time with Leonardo DiCaprio. Subsequently, she was arranged for discussions with producers in Las Vegas.

In part two of Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, she admitted: ‘I live like I’m still under threat to this day. I’ve slept with a knife under my bed pretty much most of my life now.

‘Don’t know what it is I’m preparing for some sort of assination attempt? I know it sounds crazy.’

At my residence, I engage in archery as a hobby; I own a bow and arrows. Should I hear an unusual noise during the night, I’m well-equipped and prepared to respond promptly.

‘It’s that energy. I don’t live thinking about it but as soon as I hear a I’m up and ready to go.’

Additionally, Tulisa disclosed that she had asked ITV to step back from filming her following her exit from I’m A Celebrity, as she was experiencing a emotional breakdown at the time.

After being eliminated from the jungle, she hurriedly left Australia just a few days later, and erased any evidence of her participation in the ITV program from her Instagram account.

Fans found themselves puzzled as to why Tulisa unexpectedly departed from Australia, deciding against joining her fellow contestants on the Coming Out program.

She said: ‘When I came out, I began to cry when I had the first moment to myself.

‘And I said “Please don’t put me back on camera. I need to be off now, too much. I’m really proud of myself, but I pushed myself too far, too soon, I need to go home”.’

She stated: “Are you asking me to show up due to principles at this moment when I’m experiencing a breakdown? Instead, I must return home to deal with it.

It seems I’m fortunate to have the ability to acknowledge when my mental state isn’t well, and prioritize self-care in response. I won’t let myself reach harmful limits. Instead, I must focus on taking good care of myself and safeguarding my wellbeing.

‘I came out and the same night I was having a cry I was like I’m not going back on camera. 

While scrolling through my social media, I found myself overwhelmed by an excess of my own presence. I felt the need to retreat, to disconnect and reflect on everything.

To put it simply, I haven’t fully grasped everything yet. I’d say I’m about 70% there. To maintain my public presence, I need to tackle more impactful topics, such as what I’ve been doing with this podcast. Keeping it genuine all the way.

‘If I can be in the public eye and it’s like that, then I can do it.’

In the initial segment of Paul’s podcast, Tulisa candidly discussed the challenges she encountered with her mental well-being, both during her time in the jungle and after leaving. She confessed that it was difficult for her to enjoy socializing with the cheerful campers while she was spending time crying in her hotel room instead.

Tulisa too shared an instance when she nearly dropped out from the program, as the singer broke down in tears and found it difficult to catch her breath due to a distressing panic attack. This intense episode was not broadcasted on television.

In her discussion, Tulisa shared some unseen struggles she endured, stating: “There were certain hardships you weren’t aware of, and during the initial four days, I experienced night terrors. This meant I would suddenly awaken from my sleep, experiencing panic attacks.

Even though some aspects were unknown to many, my journey was far from seamless. However, I’ve got a very convincing poker face that hid any struggles along the way.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can confidently say that I know how to switch it on, especially when I’m confronted with challenges. To be honest, the last thing I yearned for was walking in there looking like a hot mess. But you can count on me, I’ll step up and become the most resilient warrior in that arena.

As soon as I have a task at hand and I find myself skydiving, I’ll embody a warrior, which is my nature. Yet, underneath that tough exterior, I may also take time to shed tears while hiding under my sleeping bag – that’s just another side of me.
