Tulisa breaks cover after fleeing Australia and snubbing the I’m A Celeb final and wrap party amid mental health struggle
As someone who has spent years in the limelight, I find myself deeply moved by Tulisa’s recent ordeal in the Australian jungle. Having walked the same path of fame and public scrutiny, I can empathize with the intense pressure she must have felt during her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Tulisa has made her first public appearance since skipping the I’m A Celebrity finale and returning to the UK.
On Monday morning, shortly after her fellow performers celebrated at the show’s finale party, the artist, aged 36, chose to maintain a discreet presence as she departed in her vehicle.
On Sunday evening, numerous viewers tuned in to witness Danny Jones being declared the ‘King of the Jungle’. Coleen Rooney came in second place, while Reverend Richard Coles finished third.
The leading pair discovered their destiny amidst a group of their past companions, who assembled on the stage to celebrate everyone together.
All except for Tulisa, who had fled Australia within days of being voted out of the Jungle, having deleted all traces of her appearance on the ITV show from her Instagram.
The N-Dubz singer broke the tradition of eliminated stars remaining Down Under for the final.
She later took to her Instagram to address the speculation about her sudden departure to say she had become ‘overwhelmed’ by the whole thing.
On Sunday, Tulisa at last shared insights into her jungle adventure, posting numerous pictures from the show along with a brief message expressing apologies to her fellow camp members for not participating in the finale.
Reflecting on some cherished memories from the @Imacelebrity jungle experience. What a rollercoaster ride!
I’m grateful to @itv for the wonderful experience, and I’m sending a lot of love to my Jungle Family ahead of tonight’s finale. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to join in the celebration with everyone ❤️.
Her fellow eliminated contestants didn’t hesitate to express their backing. Maura Higgins remarked, “I miss you so much! I want to hug you and show my affection ❤️❤️.
Dean McCullough expressed that he misses and is excited to see his loved one again, sending heartfelt messages along with multiple hearts as a symbol of affection. On the other hand, Oti Mabuse conveyed similar feelings using a series of heart emojis. Tulisa surprised fans by choosing not to stay at the expensive JW Marriott on Australia’s Gold Coast, where her fellow evicted campmates are staying until Sunday’s final.
People who get eliminated early in the competition are typically asked to attend the finale to support the ultimate winner, the crowned king or queen of the jungle.
However, The Sun reports that Tulisa quickly returned to the United Kingdom, employing a private terminal in order to avoid photographers.
Contrary to rumors implying a rift between her and the friends handling her social media accounts, it’s now been reported that she departed from Australia due to challenges with her emotional wellbeing.
According to a reliable source, ‘Tulisa was both puzzled and annoyed by the rumor that she and Michelle had a falling out – in fact, their friendship remains strong as ever. The two of them recently returned to the UK together and are now sharing a good laugh over all the gossip.’
It turns out that Tulisa was dealing with issues related to her mental well-being, as she had shared with her followers.
After discussing with ITV, everyone involved concluded that it was most beneficial for her to return home, surrounded by her trusted friends and familiar comforts.
‘It’s nothing more than that, despite what people are saying.’
In a video earlier this week, Tulisa addressed her fans for the first time, saying:
In an Instagram post, she mentioned: “Making a quick video to clarify some points. After leaving the jungle, I initially felt good and later in the evening, my companions retired for sleep.
‘But because it’s been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily. ‘I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought, “Do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill.”
You understand that it’s normal to experience feelings of being overpowered, given the length of time you’ve been away from the limelight. I’m still working through some personal issues and battling small internal struggles. In simpler terms, I’m dealing with a few lingering challenges.
It became known that an argument broke out at a hotel following Tulisa’s elimination from the show, as she was accompanied by her friends Michelle McKenna and her partner Daniel Johnson; however, Tulisa’s representatives have stated this is not accurate.
She expressed dissatisfaction with how her closest friends managed her Instagram account during her stay in the jungle, considering the posts they made about her as ‘unsuitable’.
According to a source, it was Tulisa who brought them to Australia, and it seemed like they were enjoying the circumstances and exploiting her goodwill.
Michelle and Daniel were present, thanks to a journey sponsored by ITV, all due to Tulisa’s influence. They were there primarily because of her confidence in them, entrusting them with her social media management.
As I emerged from the dense jungle, my heart sank at the sight before me – it ignited an intense argument within me. The realization of my companions reveling in luxury while I endured the harshness of the wilderness was undeniably infuriating, a feeling that resonated deep within my core as an ardent admirer.
In a luxurious five-star hotel, their costs covered, gave Tulisa an odd sense of unease, they mentioned.
She was extremely upset upon seeing the post, eagerly wanting to remove it right away.
Instead of “The I Need You singer furiously deleted all trace of her time in the Jungle and has not attended any of her scheduled appearances with ITV,” you could rephrase it as: “The singer who sings ‘I Need You’ deleted everything related to her jungle experience and hasn’t shown up for any planned events on ITV.
Although sources claim that Tulisa has no hard feelings towards the network, neither she nor her companions have appeared in public since her interview on Lorraine on Tuesday morning.
In my commitment to openness, I found myself needing to step away from our upcoming adventure on I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked with Joel Dommett, Kemi Rodgers, and Sam Thompson, following my departure the previous day. This decision was due to some personal matters requiring immediate attention.
Tulisa later took to her Instagram stories denying she had argued with Michelle and Dan.
Despite this, it’s reported that she will continue her involvement in the spin-off show, Coming Out, according to The Mirror.
As a devoted fan, I understand that in the “Coming Out” series, the celebrities are closely documented by cameras right from when they step out of camp. Consequently, I speculate that the producers might have ample footage of her exit, captured prior to her choice to return home.
