Trump Launches New Website Against “Biased” Media

The White House has created a new section on its website to publicly challenge news organizations and reporters it accuses of unfairly portraying or exaggerating stories about President Trump.

I stumbled across this website that immediately throws accusations around – it starts with a big claim of being ‘Misleading. Biased. Exposed.’ Then, it goes straight for some major news outlets, naming the Boston Globe, CBS News, and The Independent as its ‘media offenders of the week.’ Apparently, the site believes these organizations misrepresented what Trump said regarding some Democratic lawmakers and a video they put out, which asked the military to refuse illegal orders.

The controversy started when Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, calling for the Democrats to be “arrested and put on trial” because of their protests. He also suggested that authorities should make a strong example out of them.

These actions are a serious betrayal of our nation and those responsible should be arrested and prosecuted. Their statements are dangerous and threaten the future of our country, so a strong example must be made. – President DJT

I’ve been following the news, and I keep seeing claims that Trump was wrongly accused of telling the military to do something illegal. The statement I read argues that everything he asked them to do was completely within the law. It really stresses that telling soldiers to disobey orders is wrong, particularly when it comes from members of Congress, and that those people should be held accountable for it.

Democrats and some news outlets suggested President Trump gave unlawful commands to the military. However, every order issued by President Trump was legal. It’s concerning when members of Congress encourage military personnel to disobey orders, and President Trump has asked for those responsible to face consequences.

The website features a section called the “Offender Hall of Shame,” which lists news organizations like CNN, The Washington Post, CBS News, and MSNBC. Visitors can browse past articles about President Trump or his administration, along with information about the authors. These articles are categorized based on perceived bias, poor reporting, or extreme left-leaning viewpoints. At the time this was written, The Washington Post was ranked as the most problematic outlet.

Beyond highlighting the most prominent sources it considers unreliable, the White House website also lists a wider range of news organizations it accuses of spreading false information. This includes well-known outlets like the Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Politico, New York Times, and Axios.

This latest action is part of a pattern of attacks by Donald Trump against the news media. It follows his previous efforts to discredit reporters, including lawsuits against several news organizations, personal attacks on female journalists, and attempts to silence late-night comedians like Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers.
