Trisha Goddard’s Shocking Backstage Comment

A reported off-camera remark made by Celebrity Big Brother participant Trisha Goddard, which caused her on-screen disagreement with Tiffany Pollard, has come to light.

During Tuesday’s broadcast of Late and Live, there was a heated argument between the duo after Trisha was eliminated, with Tiffany, aged 43, claiming that Trisha had been disrespectful off-stage.

Currently, Tiffany attributes the on-air dispute to a remark allegedly made by talk show host Trisha (age 67) in a backstage conversation, as she shares her perspective about the disagreement.

As reported by The Sun, Trisha allegedly made a comment about her career that was perceived as ambiguous or questionable, which subsequently prompted her to claim that the person was impolite during their screen time together.

She expressed on the Celebrity Big Brother Breakdown podcast that she had been impolite in the upper area during the pre-episode briefing.

‘So basically, you know how they tell you ”well Tiff, you’re gonna do this and that.” 

They detailed the segment that would feature me as a news anchor, but she mentioned that the role would only require a brief period of time on air.

Instead of saying, “And I said, ‘Well, you know what sweetie? Don’t cast shadows over me now, let’s wait until we’re down stairs with the cameras rolling so we can truly engage in a heated debate that could make for great television’,” you could rephrase it as:

“I told them, ‘Look, honey, save your arguments for later when the cameras are on. We can really make our disagreement exciting and dramatic then’.

However, she explained, “Actually, that was a compliment, Tiffany. It seems you didn’t realize that being a small-town, small-time TV host implies that you are skilled in this area.

Tiffany commented, “That part is confusing to me. Honestly, I have no idea what she meant by that statement. It seemed like a subtle jab or criticism.

Indeed, I wanted to understand the reason behind my question. Essentially, I expressed, “It seemed unusual for you to be so impolite towards me in the upper room.

‘One thing about me, sweetie I don’t bite my tongue. It’s too thick for me to do that.’

Trisha was the second contestant to leave the Celebrity Big Brother residence, but she found herself in a whirlwind of controversy with Tiffany during Late and Live.

The pair shocked viewers with a very awkward on-air confrontation following Trisha’s eviction. 

During the spin-off episode, viewers found themselves curious as to what was happening when the host, Will Best, posed the question to Trisha: “How is life outside in reality?

Trisha explained: ‘Given the chance, I might have returned, but honestly, by the time I arrived, I had spent about 35 years working in studios similar to this one. As a result, it felt familiar and comfortable to me.’

Later on, Tiffany spoke up from afar: “Ah, now I see why you were harsh with me in the meeting upstairs when you said I was small and it made you feel comfortable being rude.” (This version aims to simplify and make the sentence easier to understand while retaining the original meaning.)

Fans were left baffled over what argument had prompted Tiffany’s cryptic remark on-air. 

Trisha enrolled in Celebrity Big Brother to demonstrate to her patients that they shouldn’t fear life, even after receiving a terminal stage four cancer diagnosis.

Following a public vote against Patsy Palmer and Jack P Shepherd, Trisha ended up with the least number of votes for continuation, making her the second celebrity to depart the show.

As Trisha stepped outside her home, the host confessed that she felt a little melancholic about departing from the program.

In a casual conversation with AJ Odudu and Will Best, Trisha dismissed the rationale behind the housemates nominating her. Particularly, she found it hard to agree with Chesney Hawkes’ argument that their chats were reminiscent of his appearances on her talk show.

She remarked: “That’s truly a wonderful praise… Not because everyone was struggling to find faults, but rather searching for reasons to continue being together.

She contemplated her choice to join the program, acknowledging that it provided a refreshing interlude amidst her cancer therapy sessions.

She emphasized: “Indeed, it held significant value for me; it provided relief, almost like a break from worrying about cancer. With the BB group and my support system in Stes, I didn’t need to anticipate the next check-up, allowing me to revert back to being carefree, much like a child.

I indeed discussed cancer since it’s an integral aspect of my life, shared by over 3.4 million Britons. It served as a brief respite from constantly pondering over it.

‘Heavy subjects came up now and again, but it was just a break!’

20 months back, I was diagnosed with a terminal condition, and since then, my days have been spent at home under the tender care of palliative services.

Trisha is battling a type of breast cancer that initially developed in her breast, then advanced to other areas of her body. Unfortunately, at this time, there’s no known cure for her condition, but treatments are available to help manage it.

Last February, it was disclosed that her cancer had come back, following a previous clean bill of health.

During her residence at the house, the broadcaster also brought along a bag filled with medications to manage her ongoing cancer treatment, in addition to having her own private space.
