Trisha Goddard shared a hilarious story on Thursday, revealing that she’d been playfully trolled online by none other than actor Timothée Chalamet.
You won’t believe who I ran into the other day! I was at the BBC Studios in London, and I spotted the incredibly talented actor, who’s just 29, and we had a lovely little chat. It’s always fun to connect with people in the industry, and it was such a surprise!
Excited to meet the Oscar-nominated actor, Trisha politely asked for a photo, and he happily agreed.
Oh my gosh, you won’t believe this! The presenter said Timothée actually offered to take the selfie himself – he apparently thinks he’s better at it, which, honestly, fair enough! He took a few pictures and then was off, but it was so sweet that he wanted to make sure it was a good one!
When she shared the photo with her followers, it became clear the Dune actor had cleverly positioned the camera to include only a small part of himself, and he was also hiding his face with his hand.
Even though what she did was a bit sneaky, Trisha burst out laughing while telling the story, and confessed it proved her point: ‘That showed them, didn’t it?’

I asked Timothée Chalamet for a selfie, and he happily agreed! He even offered to take it himself, saying he’s better at it. He took a few photos with my phone and then gave it back – the pictures were amazing!
Someone posted a laughing reaction – ‘Bwhahahaha…… Love it! That told me, innit?’ – along with several laughing emojis and the hashtags #timotheechalamet, #selfie, #played, and #camerashy.
Fans loved Timothée’s clever move, calling it ‘brutal’ but also hilarious. Many joked that he should have definitely posed for a picture with Trisha.
They thought it was fantastic, and jokingly said he really should have asked for a picture with you.
‘RUDE! The Trisha Goddard Show. Global!!’; ‘He must not know who you are! He must do better’.
‘@therealtrishagoddard I hope you’re gonna frame this! Because it’s a work of art!’; ‘Kids eh?!’
It looks like Trisha was the only one Timothée playfully tricked. He happily greeted fans with autographs and photos when he got to the studios, suggesting he wasn’t actually upset by the prank.
He looked relaxed and approachable in a white jacket featuring the words ‘Marty Supreme,’ which was a way to advertise his upcoming sports movie of the same title.

This film follows Marty Mauser, a young man in 1950s New York, who is determined to become a professional ping pong player and will do almost anything to achieve his dream.
The new ping-pong movie, which cost $70 million to make, is already getting a lot of attention before its release on Christmas Day in the US and Boxing Day in the UK.
Josh Safdie’s first solo film as director features a notable cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Fran Drescher, Sandra Bernhard, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, David Mamet, Levon Hawke, and Penn Jillette.
Timothée committed deeply to the role, even starting to train for table tennis in 2018. He prepared for the part, which was inspired by the life of table tennis player Marty Reisman (1930-2012), years in advance.
His work has clearly been well-received, earning him nominations for Best Actor at both the Critics’ Choice Awards and the Golden Globes next month.
The actor, who has been nominated for an Oscar twice before, is really hoping to win this time and is openly saying so.
The actor known for ‘Call Me By Your Name’ recently stated that his role in ‘Marty Supreme’ is the best work he’s ever done.
He told reporters this week that he believes he’s been consistently delivering excellent work.
I need to state this clearly: I’m committed to working hard and maintaining a strong work ethic, and I don’t want anyone – including myself – to underestimate or overlook that dedication.
