Trey Songz was arrested on Sunday and faced charges related to two separate incidents that occurred at different locations in Manhattan.
R&B singer Tremaine Neverson, known as Songz, is accused of hitting a nightclub employee on December 4th, according to the New York Post. Prosecutors say Songz became unnecessarily angry after a worker at Dramma Night Club told him the club was closing around 4:25 a.m.
Early Sunday morning, Trey Songz was allegedly involved in another incident at Mira, a restaurant and hookah lounge. He’s accused of causing significant damage – around $1,500 worth – to the property, including hookahs, DJ equipment, and furniture. TMZ reports that it was after this incident and his subsequent arrest that police discovered he was also wanted in connection with a previous fight at a nightclub.

Page Six reports that a worker at Dramma nightclub has obtained a restraining order against Trey Songz, who is known to frequent the establishment, according to prosecutors.
According to his lawyer, Mitchell Schuster, Trey Songz is cooperating with authorities regarding an incident that happened last week and believes the truth will be revealed. Schuster shared this information in a statement to several news sources.
The statement also described what happened on Sunday, explaining that Songz was approached by people who tried to start a conflict and boxed him in. His security team stepped in to protect him and de-escalate the situation, but a physical fight broke out in the process.
The statement explained that public figures are frequently targeted to create sensational news stories or profit financially. They expressed confidence that the truth would eventually become clear.
In 2022, Trey Songz was arrested after a fight at a bowling alley in Manhattan. He’s also faced previous accusations of sexual assault, as well as allegations of physically assaulting a woman, including punching and choking, and for domestic violence.
