Travis Scott looks ‘hyped up’ as he shouts and swears at Olympics crowd hours before being arrested
As I delve deeper into the tumultuous life of Travis Scott, a man whose career soars high but seems to be constantly shrouded in controversy, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy for him. His journey is a rollercoaster ride that few could endure, and his resilience is commendable.
A video surfaced showing Travis Scott visibly excited and yelling among the Olympic spectators, all happening a few hours before his subsequent arrest.
On Friday morning, an early-hours arrest was made in central Paris on an American rapper, following a dispute with his personal bodyguard, according to local news outlets.
Just a few hours prior, the 33-year-old star found himself watching the men’s basketball semi-final between Serbia and the United States.
Travis was observed, passionately yelling and cursing, while waving his arms enthusiastically and attempting to stir excitement among the spectators, as the USA managed an extraordinary comeback to defeat Serbia.
Brimming with vigor was Travis (Jacques Bermon Webster), as he swiftly lifted his tee to celebrate the US scoring a goal.
Later on, Travis was held by police officers at the George V Hotel situated within the 8th district of Paris, as reported by the French publication Valeurs Actuelles.
The incident is said to have occurred around 5am, just steps away from the Champs-Élysées.
As reported by French publication Le Parisien, officers were dispatched to the hotel because of violent actions directed towards the receptionist.
A police source reportedly said the rapper was intoxicated at the time of the confrontation.
Following his arrest in Miami during June, this incident occurred involving the rapper on a yacht where there was some commotion.
Cops interrogated him about whether he’d been drinking. Scott replied: ‘It’s Miami’.
Apart from easing fan concerns about his forthcoming tour with some amusing tweets during the turmoil of the night, he also shared a humorous take on the photograph taken immediately after his arrest, which initially appeared quite disheveled.
I, utterly smitten, couldn’t help but echo a chuckle, typing ‘lol’ in response to Scott’s post. Then, with an artist’s touch, I enhanced his booking photo, adding stylish shades and earphones, before sharing it as an Insta Story, eager to share my admiration with the world.
Travis Scott, known for his hit song “Sicko Mode,” was once in a relationship with Kylie Jenner and they share two young children together, named Stormi and Aire.
Since 2017, Scott and the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, who is now 26 years old, have experienced periods of being together and apart in their relationship. At this moment, they are no longer a couple.
A week prior to his arrest in June, Scott had a minor altercation with Tyga, who used to date Kylie Jenner, in the city of Cannes.
Over the years, the rapper has had a few run-ins with the law.
Primarily, he played a leading role in the tragic incident at Astroworld 2021, an event that took place at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. This tragedy resulted in the loss of ten lives and left hundreds more injured due to a catastrophic crowd surge during the rapper’s music festival.
On November 5, 2021, numerous individuals were caught on camera rushing through a special entryway during an event managed by Live Nation, causing concern about excessive congestion and inadequate crowd management.
At a concert, Travis Scott persisted with his performance even after the tragic incident where eight individuals lost their lives, among whom were two teenagers aged only 14 and 16. One onlooker described the scene as a ‘sea of bodies’ or a ‘crowd of fallen people’.
Videos circulating on Twitter showed the crowd chanting ‘stop the show, stop the show!’
Despite being classified as a mass casualty incident at 9:38 pm, the concert went on until 10:15 pm, resulting in heavy criticism directed towards Scott, the headliner and promoter of the event.
The rapper, along with event organizers Live Nation and ScoreMore, encountered multiple lawsuits based on allegations of neglect and wrongful death.
Last June, it was determined by a Houston grand jury that Scott wouldn’t be held criminally responsible for his involvement in the fatal crowd rush incident.
Last November, exactly two years following the tragic incident at Astroworld, Scott decided to speak publicly for the first time about it in an interview with GQ. He expressed that he had been deeply saddened and overwhelmed by the event, mentioning that his thoughts continually returned to the disaster.
Scott mentioned that creating music involves reflecting on events happening in life and personal experiences. For everyone, including families and the city, the moment was heartbreaking. When it came to completing the album, he resumed work likely several months later.
As a music enthusiast, immersing myself once more in the realm of melodies, honing my craft, and delving deeper into the process of creation, has become a form of healing. It allows me to harness my passion and transform raw energy into refined beats and harmonious sounds.
To put it simply, I was extremely saddened, almost beyond words. It’s something that constantly lingers in my thoughts. My fans, they felt like my own family. Truth be told, I hold them deeply in my heart.
In May this year, Scott and Live Nation settled nine wrongful death lawsuits.
