As someone who has lived in various cities across Australia, I must admit, it feels a bit like living in Perth is akin to being the kid left out of tag during recess. It seems that every time a big name artist comes down under, Perth gets the short end of the stick.

On a low-profile visit, Travis Scott arrived at Sydney Airport aboard a private plane on Thursday, starting the Australian stretch of his global Circus Maximus concert tour.

On Thursday night, the American hip-hop artist, known as Jacques Bermon Webster II, touched down in Sydney mere hours prior to his performance at Allianz Stadium.

In a relaxed manner, Scott, aged 33, dressed casually in dark jogging pants and a brown zip-up sweater, maintained comfort after his lengthy air travel.

He completed his casual ensemble with a pair of orange sliders as he disembarked his private jet and walked across the tarmac.

At the airport, the performer was spotted making a phone call just moments after his arrival, and he showed great enthusiasm while conversing over the phone.

His arrival in Sydney came as excitement ramped up for his sold-out gig at the Allianz Stadium, his first stop on his Australian tour.

Due to a fatal accident on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Thursday that caused significant traffic disruptions, concert attendees were advised to make arrangements in advance.

On Thursday, around 2pm, four automobiles and a bus were involved in a collision. Tragically, two men lost their lives following the accident, while one expectant mother was urgently taken to the hospital.

A single vehicle, moving along the northbound roads, unintentionally switched lanes into oncoming southbound traffic, causing an initial crash, followed by several more accidents, as reported by Acting Superintendent Clayton McDonald.

Even though the bridge was reopened in the afternoon, concert attendees were encouraged to utilize public transportation instead, as there were traffic hold-ups and heavy congestion causing delays.

At a press conference, Coordinator-General Howard Collins of Transport for NSW stated that even when the lanes are opened again, there’s likely to be a substantial amount of traffic that needs to be managed during the evening rush hour.

As someone headed to the city for tonight’s concert at Moore Park, I strongly advise you to plan an alternate route. The roads leading there might be closed or heavily congested due to various reasons, so it’s best to avoid potential delays and navigate through less-crowded streets instead.

More than 40,000 fans were expected to descend on the Allianz Stadium for Scott’s sold-out concert.

After performing in Sydney, he plans to go to Melbourne next, for a performance at the Marvel Stadium scheduled on October 22nd.

On October 26, Scott is set to conclude his Australian tour at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Hey Scott! I’ve got to say, your announcement about the shows in Australia during your Circus Maximus world tour left a few folks down under feeling less than enthused. They were hoping for a more personal touch from an expert like you when it comes to local events and experiences.

Following his announcement that he’d be visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and New Zealand, numerous enthusiasts were disgruntled by the prospect of traveling to catch a glimpse of him in person.

Enthusiasts from Perth and Adelaide felt disappointed when yet another international celebrity opted to bypass these Australian cities during their tour itineraries, leaving them feeling frustrated.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but ask, “Any plans for Perth?” Another fellow enthusiast echoed my sentiments, remarking, “It’s always a bummer when Perth is overlooked.

On their U.S. tour for Circus Maximus World Tour, Scott has reportedly made a staggering $27 million, as stated by Perth Now.

It wasn’t just Scott who bypassed Perth when touring Australia; even before him, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift had skipped performing in the capital city of Western Australia during their visits.

Fans in Perth were left disappointed when artists like the Jonas Brothers, Sam Smith, and Charlie Puth decided to tour on the east coast instead, forcing fans to travel far if they wanted to watch them live.

In the past few weeks, Dua Lipa has faced criticism due to her decision to not include Brisbane and Perth on her 2025 tour itinerary.
