Travis Scott arrested in Paris after fight with his bodyguard, hotel security guard

As a cinema devotee with a keen eye for celebrity happenings, I find myself constantly drawn into the whirlwind of intriguing tales that unfold in the lives of our favorite stars. The latest chapter in this never-ending saga is the arrest of Travis Scott in Paris.

Famous rapper Travis Scott was detained in Paris during the early hours of Friday due to allegations of a scuffle occurring at the Georges V hotel.

On early morning hours of around 5 a.m., the rap artist commonly known as “Sicko Mode,” whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was apprehended following an incident at a hotel in Paris. The police were summoned due to reports of violence against a security guard, who is often referred to as Travis Scott. This information was confirmed by the Paris public prosecutor’s office in a statement to The Times.

In a skirmish between a 33-year-old musician and his personal security, a hotel security officer stepped in to mediate, as stated. The authorities continue to examine the situation further.

The 10-time Grammy-nominated rapper, well recognized for his “Astroworld” album and last year’s “Utopia,” was in Paris during the Olympics. He watched as the U.S. men’s basketball team defeated Serbia in their semifinal match on Thursday evening.

For several days, Scott found himself in the bustling city, where he was persistently pursued and troubled by photographers, a situation that became more intense each day. On Friday, it’s reported by an unnamed source who wasn’t allowed to speak publicly, the rapper encountered a swarm of paparazzi at his hotel, receiving no assistance. This incident led to a confrontation.

On Friday, it was reported by TMZ that Scott was hurriedly moved from the hotel in an ambulance, heading to the hospital to assess any potential injuries he might have sustained following a confrontation where several vases were broken. The news outlet also shared a video of the arrest.

In the aftermath of the unfortunate event, I myself can attest that I, the musician, miraculously escaped injury. However, I find myself still in the grasp of law enforcement officials, a situation I anticipate will not last long. As of now, no formal charges have been levied against me.

On Friday, a representative from Scott’s team stated to The Times that we are currently working closely with local Paris officials to promptly handle this issue. Updates will be shared as needed.

Born in Houston and a prominent figure in hip-hop, this artist (who is also a father of two with reality TV personality Kylie Jenner) found himself amidst controversy following the tragic 2021 Astroworld Festival incident where a crowd crush led to ten fatalities and numerous lawsuits.

In June, the artist known as “Highest in the Room” was taken into custody at a Miami jail, accused of trespassing and disorderly conduct while under the influence, following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina. Florida authorities decided to dismiss the disorderly conduct charge against him on Thursday, but he still has a pending trespassing charge. The trial for this case is set for September 10th.
