Travis Kelce and Shaq turn Taylor Swift’s great news into viral celebration
More recently, Taylor Swift disclosed that she had repurchased the rights to her initial six albums from her debut record deal with Big Machine Records. These pieces were created during her first recording contract, which led to some issues after Big Machine sold them to music mogul Scooter Braun in 2019.
In the year 2020, Shamrock Capital took ownership of Swift’s master recordings, leading to a standstill in the pop icon’s efforts to reclaim control over those earlier recordings. However, this situation was recently resolved as Shamrock Capital and Swift’s representatives reached an agreement allowing the singer to repurchase her own music.
The wealth of the creators from Swift’s initial six studio albums is estimated to be around $600 million. However, this figure might have altered following Swift’s decision to re-record those original albums, aiming to own the masters. Given that fans are die-hard Swifties, they would rather buy the re-recorded versions, now called Taylor’s Versions, since their money would support their beloved artist in this case.
Travis Kelce and Shaquille O’Neal jam out to some great Taylor Swift news
Since the year 2023, Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs football team, has been romantically involved with Taylor Swift. After his matches, she’s often seen cheering him on, and he reciprocates by attending her concerts. In fact, they even shared a stage in London, where Travis was dressed in a tuxedo. It’s clear that they have deep affection for each other.
In a recent episode of their podcast, titled “New Heights,” Jason and Travis Kelce welcomed NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal as their guest. Delighted to be on the show, Shaq couldn’t resist playing Taylor Swift’s song “I Knew You Were Trouble” following his introduction.
Shaquille O’Neal and Travis Kelce both expressed their appreciation for Swift’s song, referring to it as their “most loved melody globally.” During the performance, they both mimicked the lyrics and O’Neal even added a few moves to the rhythm when the music was playing. The NFL star, Kelce, also showcased some dance steps alongside his tribute to the song.
Travis Kelce added, “Shout out to Tay Tay. Just got that song back, too.”
As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but feel the infectious elation that Kelce shared with his girlfriend. Witnessing Taylor Swift’s reaction when she learned about regaining her masters would have been an unforgettable spectacle. The joy of watching Kelce revel in the moment made the cost of my ticket worth every penny, too.
