Travis Barker’s ex Shanna Moakler accuses Kourtney Kardashian of ‘crossing lines’ with co-parenting in fiery rant

Shanna Moakler, the ex-wife of Travis Barker, has spoken out about Kourtney Kardashian, saying their co-parenting relationship has become difficult and boundaries have been overstepped.

During an interview on the When Reality Hits podcast with Brittany Cartwright from The Valley, she made a pointed comment about Kardashian, bringing their old disagreement back into the spotlight.

On Friday’s podcast, Cartwright questioned Moakler about how she coparents with her children’s stepmother, and Moakler’s answer seemed evasive.

This follows Moakler’s earlier statement that she had never met Kardashian, even though Kardashian had already been dating the musician for three years at that point.

She said she doesn’t believe the Kardashians and Jenners talk about those things with anyone.

She admitted that she used to find the situation disrespectful. She even thought to herself, “If my children were in that position, I wouldn’t allow some of the things happening with them.”

Okay, so she basically admitted that if she had been around North, Saint, Chicago, or Psalm, she totally would have stepped in and set some boundaries! Like, she’s saying she wouldn’t have let them get away with anything – she’d have made sure they behaved! I just knew she had opinions on how those kids should be raised, and now she’s all but confirmed it! It’s fascinating to me, honestly.

The former Miss USA beauty queenĀ added: ‘I feel like there were some lines that were crossed.’Ā

However, the star of Meet the Barkers didn’t explain what exactly happened to cause issues in their co-parenting arrangement.

She acknowledged the situation, saying, ‘It’s done, and I think everyone has moved on.’

Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Barker and Kardashian have been married since 2022! It feels like yesterday, honestly. And their little Rocky Thirteen is already TWO years old! Time flies when you’re obsessed, I guess. They’re just the cutest family ever, seriously!

Travis Barker, the Blink-182 drummer, was married to Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. Before that, he was briefly married to Melissa Kennedy in 2001 and 2002, but that marriage only lasted eleven months.

Barker and Moakler share son Landon, 22, and daughter Alabama, 20.Ā

He’s also the stepdad to Moakler’s daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, who is 26 years old. Moakler had Atiana in March 1999 with boxer Oscar De La Hoya.

Barker has consistently been a strong father figure to his stepdaughter and remains close to her.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve been following Shanna Moakler’s personal life, and it’s interesting to see how things unfold. She’s been with actor Greg Vaughan since 2023, and she’s previously talked about the difficulties she’s experienced in her relationship with Kim Kardashian. It seems there’s a bit of a complicated history there, and she’s been open about sharing that.

I remember about two years ago, Shanna Moakler publicly said she wasn’t holding any grudges against her ex or his current wife when it came to their kids. But it was a little strange – she also pointed out they’d still never actually met, which seemed like a significant thing to me.

In an interview with People magazine in June 2024, she explained that people misinterpreted her reaction. ‘I wasn’t angry at all,’ she said. ‘It wasn’t about anger.’

I sometimes get frustrated, but I’m a direct person – I grew up on the East Coast and I tend to swear and be very straightforward.

She explained that some people misinterpret her directness as anger, but she simply doesn’t feel obligated to be polite to her ex’s wife’s family. She stated plainly that she doesn’t need to pretend to like them.

She acknowledged that not everyone approves, and also explained why her children currently live with Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, defending herself against claims that she’s uninvolved in their upbringing.

I’ve been getting questions about why my children live with Travis, and I want to clarify things. I’ve always been actively involved in my kids’ lives and have consistently shared custody with their father.

She suggested they stay at Barker’s large home during the COVID-19 lockdown, thinking it would be a better situation for them.

Honestly, it’s just… everyone focuses on that one little slip-up, but I’ve always been there for my kids. Always! It breaks my heart that people would even question it, because they’re my whole world and I’ve never missed a thing in their lives, except for that one time, and I just… I don’t even want to talk about it. I’ve been so present, truly!

I’m always confused by the criticism, because my social media clearly shows I’m very involved in my children’s lives and I’m there for them daily.
