Alabama Barker is responding to criticism after some people accused her of seeking attention by talking about her pregnancy loss.
After facing backlash for sharing her recent breakup, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s 19-year-old daughter explained why she chose to talk about her feelings publicly.
Honestly, I was shocked when I saw her Instagram Story – the one The Shade Room grabbed before she took it down. She basically said there’s no way she’d ever share something so private just to get attention. It really felt like she was hurt by the suggestion.
She added that whether it was an accident or not, she didn’t feel the need to share her experiences online to validate herself. She emphasized that her life was for her to live, not for show, and she wouldn’t feel pressured by others sharing their own stories.
Lots of people on Instagram quickly showed support for the teenager, with one commenter writing, ‘Ultimately, she lost her baby, and that’s just devastating.’
Someone else shared their experience with an ectopic pregnancy, saying they lost their baby at 11 weeks and described the loss as indescribable.

One person shared their deep sadness, saying a miscarriage is a heartbreaking experience they wouldn’t wish on anyone, and they were disturbed by some of the comments made.
Others extended their ‘prayers to her’ and called out trolls that found her pain ‘funny.’
Alabama recently shared a post online, shortly after seemingly revealing on TikTok that she had experienced a miscarriage.
Okay, so she *finally* opened up, and honestly, it broke my heart. She said ever since everything happened – losing her baby, then finding out he cheated, *and* dealing with all the hate online – she just feels…different. Like a part of her is gone forever, and she’ll never be the person she was before. It’s just…so raw and real, and I feel so much for her right now.
The video included tearful moments and a reflective window selfie showing her stomach.
Shortly after, Barker told her fans she would be taking a step back from social media.
She announced on social media that she’s taking a break from TikTok, sharing an older photo and telling her fans she loves them and will return soon.
She announced on Instagram that she was taking a break from the app, writing, ‘Deleting Instagram for a little while, be back soon, love you guys.’
Despite announcing the hiatus, she briefly returned on Friday with a carousel of outfit photos.
It looked like comments were turned off before the post was taken down. She then shared the same pictures on her Instagram Stories and asked her followers to connect with her on Snapchat.

Alabama currently has 5.6 million TikTok followers and 2.2 million on Instagram.
She is also the younger sister of Landon Barker and the stepdaughter of Kourtney Kardashian.
Earlier this year, she dismissed rumors that she was secretly pregnant with rapper Tyga’s child, following speculation that arose during her public disagreement with Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli).
She quickly addressed the rumors, stating on TikTok that she’s never met Tyga, isn’t pregnant, and doesn’t know Soulja Boy. She concluded by saying that settles the matter.
Okay, so everyone’s been saying all *sorts* of things about me, and honestly, it’s infuriating! I need to set the record straight: I have *never* been pregnant, I’ve *never* had an abortion, and let me be crystal clear – I’ve *never* been alone with either Tyga or Soulja Boy. Seriously, it’s ridiculous I even have to say this. I’m done talking about these awful, made-up stories, and this is the absolute LAST time I’m addressing this nonsense. I just… I can’t even with these lies!

The conflict between them intensified earlier this year when Alabama released a diss track called “Cry Bhabie.” The song quickly gained popularity, reaching number 5 on the U.S. Spotify Viral 100 chart.
Bregoli responded by mentioning Marissa Whitman, a character from the film *True Romance* – the same character Barker was named after.
Earlier this year, Alabama was rumored to be dating UCLA football player Scooter Jackson, but it seems they’ve since gone their separate ways.
In August, she posted a TikTok expressing her desire for positivity, a break from team commitments, and a stronger connection with her faith.
She recently fueled rumors about her love life by sharing a video of her putting together a football-themed gift basket, but she didn’t reveal who it was for.
She was seen at a USC football game late last month, dressed in a stylish outfit that included a cutout halter top, a short red skirt, and a leather jacket by Dolce & Gabbana.
She captioned the post simply: ‘Go Trojans!’
