Transformers: Reactivate Actually Looks Promising in Leaked Footage of the Cancelled Game

After the unexpected postponement a few days ago, six minutes of gameplay clips from Transformers: Reactivate have appeared on the internet, and honestly, it seems quite intriguing.

This snippet showcases a scene from an abandoned action game created by developer Splash Damage, which appears to depict Bumblebee battling Decepticons while effortlessly changing between robot and vehicle modes. Essentially, it seems to be a follow-up in spirit to Activision’s Cybertron series of games.

The source of the video isn’t exactly known (it was posted on social media by a Transformers fan account), but it appears to be an in-development gameplay footage, hence it’s quite raw. Despite its roughness, it gives us a glimpse into the game’s third-person shooting and driving features, which unfortunately we won’t have a chance to play ourselves.

According to Splash Damage, they have decided to terminate the development of “Transformers: Reactivate” in order to reduce their workload and concentrate on other ventures. It appears that one of these projects is their open-world survival game, which goes by the name ‘Project Astrid’.
