Traitors Winner Leanne Quigley Leaves Army, Plans Lavish Wedding and IVF with Prize Money

I triumphantly claimed victory in the nail-biting finale of The Traitors, finding myself standing alongside my loyal partner, Jake Brown, as the only ones left standing. Together, we snatched the grand prize fund!

After spending 12 years serving in the British Army, Leanne Quigley now has ambitious aspirations for what lies ahead in her life.

At the end of the game show on BBC, Leanne won the grand prize when Charlotte Berman, the last suspected Traitor, was eliminated during the final gathering.

Only four contestants were left, all loyal ones, and as suspicion grew, they began eliminating each other. Unfortunately, Alexander Dragonetti and Francesca Rowen-Plowden were the ones who got eliminated, leaving only Leanne and Jake to share the £94,600 prize money.

Leanne disclosed that she intends to utilize the £47,300 from the funds for an extravagant wedding with her fiancee, Sophie Jones, as well as additional rounds of IVF treatments.

However, it remains unclear which professional path she intends to pursue, as the ex-soldier disclosed in October that she would be departing from the military; having enlisted at the age of 16.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but share the behind-the-scenes glimpses of Leanne’s military service – capturing those moments when she was in action and showing the world what it means to serve with dedication.

She declared, “Today marks the final day of my service in the British Army! After 12 years, this chapter of my life has concluded, and I am immensely proud to have served my nation. I’m eagerly anticipating the start of a new phase.

Leanne’s military service led her to travel extensively, spanning continents from Nairobi, Kenya to The Hague, Netherlands – experiences that also presented her with significant tasks like parachuting.

Leanne cleverly hid her military career while competing on the show, pretending to work as a nail technician to mislead her fellow contestants, which was an essential part of her strategy to emerge victorious.

As a fervent admirer looking back, I find myself reminiscing about the moment when, at the tender age of 16, Leanne bravely bid farewell to her family nest in Holywell, Wales, to pledge her service to her beloved nation.

In the show, her physical prowess was evident during various tasks, such as the one preceding the finale where she sprinted to gather coins and also in the heavy lifting of statues uphill.

Following her impressive collection of many coins, she playfully commented: “I bet all those military fitness trainers would have been thrilled if I’d put as much effort into their training as I did into gathering these!

However, with her transition into civilian life approaching, Leanne – mother of twin boys born via IVF with Sophie – has expressed that she’s concentrating on nurturing her family as her top priority.

After triumphing on The Traitors, Leanne confessed that Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, the location where the series was filmed, has caught her attention as a potential wedding venue.

As a lifestyle expert, I found myself in the midst of planning my own nuptials recently. We’re only just beginning this exciting journey, with no specific date set as of now. Yet, with an air of anticipation, I can confidently say that I am ready to embark on this wedding-planning adventure!

I happened to glance at the castle since I hadn’t known it was a wedding venue before. What a unique idea! It truly appeals to me.

Couples seeking a magnificent setting for their wedding could rent the grand Great Hall at Ardross Castle, accommodating as many as 130 guests.

Leanne confirmed that she intends to definitely invite the cast of the BBC show for her special occasion when it takes place.

She jokingly commented: “Indeed, some of the most extraordinary individuals I’ve encountered throughout my life, along with the heartfelt affection we all share.

As an ardent admirer, I must say that each encounter since our departure from the castle has been nothing short of heartwarming. Every moment spent together is brimming with affection, making each interaction a delightful experience. It truly is a pleasure to be in your presence.

Additionally, she disclosed intentions to allocate a portion of the funds for growing her family by possibly having another child within a couple of years.

Currently, my loved ones require a brief respite. However, I believe we will proceed with egg freezing, aiming to create embryos for storage in the freezer for future use.

When asked if she had already used the money, the experienced individual confessed: “Not completely, no; we haven’t received the funds yet.

‘So, when that time comes, I think we’ll go on a nice family holiday holiday.’

Leanne’s victory occurred after a challenging six-month period, starting shortly after her fiancee Sophie’s hidden struggle with cancer was discovered. This diagnosis came only weeks following Leanne’s return from shooting.

Leanne told Metro that under no circumstances would she have left for filming if Sophia had been diagnosed with cancer. She learned about it only after returning home, weeks later.

Interestingly, about a month following her discovery, she noticed a mass. From that point onwards, events moved rather swiftly, and now she is preparing for the ringing of the bell – undergoing radiotherapy treatment.

‘I officially departed from the military in October, making me quite recently discharged. With numerous activities underway – primarily the arrival of our twins, followed by personal matters involving my partner – we plan to savor this period for quality family bonding.’

Earlier this month, Leanne shared that Sophie was given a clean bill of health following the start of the broadcast.

she mentioned that the news they received on July 31, 2024, about her being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer is the only information they were hoping for and needed to hear. This refers to her, who is not only her partner but also the mother of their children.

Witnessing a cherished one battle chemotherapy is among the most distressing experiences life has to offer. It taught us to appreciate everything, as we realized anew that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Unfortunately, the uncertainty of the future filled us with dread, eating away at our peace of mind.

On the 8th of January, 2025, the most powerful woman our planet has ever known received the news that she was cancer-free. She’s overcome it! I simply can’t find the words to express just how proud I am, or to convey the awe I feel at her daily strength.

Today marks the start of truly appreciating us, our boys, and the joy that lies ahead for the rest of our lives. I can never fully express my gratitude towards the NHS for miraculously saving my entire family. A heartfelt thanks also goes out to our support system; we’re incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such an amazing family and friends.

For anyone battling this dreadful illness, or observing their dear ones do so, know that you are seen and felt. Keep going, don’t lose hope.
