Kate Garraway revealed she was hesitant to carry a coffin on the show Celebrity Traitors because it brought back painful memories of her late husband, Derek Draper.
The 58-year-old host lost their spouse, Derek, in January 2024, after he died following a four-year struggle with the long-term effects of Covid-19.
I was so surprised to hear the actress say she literally did a double-take and gasped when she first saw the coffins during filming of the second mission! It really shows how impactful that scene was, even for her.
Honestly, it kills me that Alan Carr would playfully mock Kate’s strategy, calling it ‘useless’! But what they didn’t show on TV is that she really relied on Alan and Celia Imrie to get her through it all. She told me she leaned on them for support when things got tough, and it just makes me adore her even more. It’s so unfair they didn’t show that side of things!
