Traitors star Jonny Holloway reveals new details in Charlotte Chilton-Conor Maynard baby row

Jonny Holloway, a star on the show ‘Traitors,’ has revealed more information about the question of whether Charlotte Chilton and Conor Maynard are parents.

Last June, Charlotte, age 32, stated that Conor, also 32, was likely the father of her baby, conceived during a brief encounter. She referred to the pregnancy as a ‘miracle’.

Paternity tests have confirmed that the singer, who recently got engaged to Kitty Bertrand, is not the father of the child in question.

The situation took another unexpected turn when Conor posted online, claiming to know the true identity of Charlotte’s baby’s father. He alleged it was Jonny, a 33-year-old former soldier and close friend who also appeared with Charlotte on the show Traitors.

Jonny recently told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview that he and the woman had a sexual encounter and he’s requesting a DNA test to confirm paternity. She claims they did not have sex.

Jonny has confessed that he couldn’t perform sexually the night he slept with Charlotte because he had been drinking too much.

He explained he requested a DNA test to clear his name and prove he’s not the father of Charlotte’s daughter, Penelope. He claims the timing of Penelope’s birth doesn’t match when they were intimate.

In a TikTok video posted on Thursday, Jonny addressed his followers, saying, ‘I realize the dates don’t quite make sense.’

‘The person who pulled me into this has changed some details and it insinuates that I’m the father.

I doubt I’m the father, as I’ve said before, because the timing doesn’t match up. I was very drunk at the time, and it wasn’t consensual – something I’m uncomfortable discussing.

Look, this whole situation has become very public, and honestly, it’s really upsetting. My name is now all over the news, and what’s worse, my children are being dragged into it too. It’s also still affecting Penelope, and I’m worried about her. It’s just a lot to deal with when it impacts my family like this.

Honestly, I’m at the point where I need definitive proof to make sense of things. This whole situation feels so bizarre, I’m even considering a DNA test just to try and understand what’s going on. It’s beyond explanation at this point, and I’m really grasping for answers.

Initially, Jonny avoided answering whether he might be the little girl’s father, preferring to handle the situation privately to protect Penelope.

Jonny requested a DNA test from Charlotte, but she now won’t talk to him about it and has decided against taking it.

He told the Daily Mail he would gladly raise the child as his own. He explained the encounter happened during a night of heavy drinking, and he’s repeatedly requested a DNA test to confirm paternity, but his requests have been ignored.

I have strong personal principles, shaped by my time in the military. I’m proud of being respectful and a good father to my kids.

Jonny, a veteran of the Royal Lancers, gained respect for his courage and honesty in sharing his experiences after serving in Afghanistan in 2013.

He was riding in the front vehicle of a patrol when it hit an explosive, likely set by the Taliban, in an area known to be under their control.

Three years passed, and he then had to have his leg amputated below the knee. He was also diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In addition to a leg injury, Jonny lost sight in one eye and sustained a brain injury that impacts his memory and ability to focus. He has openly discussed his mental health challenges and how he began relying on alcohol following these traumatic experiences.

He spoke openly about how deeply affected he was by recent events, admitting he felt incredibly vulnerable. Remarkably, he shared this while also revealing he’s a veteran who survived an explosion in Afghanistan.

It’s not immediately obvious why Charlotte is hesitant about Jonny taking a DNA test to prove who the baby’s father is. However, some people think she secretly hopes singer Conor is the father.

The details of the night she and Jonny spent together are, sadly, rather unedifying.

He recalls that after a night out in March of last year, some people came back to his house, and he was very drunk at the time. He acknowledges that something happened and understands the other person involved was sober.

If I thought I might be the father, I would have said something definitively. I was heavily intoxicated that night and wasn’t thinking clearly, so I don’t remember the details, but I’m certain something happened between us.

I’ve told her I want to take a DNA test to find out if I’m the father. If I ever thought there was a chance, I’d want to know for sure and resolve the situation. That’s my position on the matter.

He explained that he asked Charlotte, “We both understand what occurred, right? Perhaps we should get a DNA test to address the situation.”

She initially agreed, but I haven’t been able to confirm details with her. I haven’t heard back since I tried to make arrangements, so I’m not sure what’s happening.

Lauren Ward, Jonny’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, appears to have a clear understanding of what happened.

She messaged Conor Maynard, accusing her husband of cheating with Charlotte at the same time as someone else.

I was so shocked to learn that they’d actually broken up before we even started filming The Traitors! And honestly, I’m completely puzzled how she found out about what happened that night – it’s a mystery to me how she could have known.

I was shocked when Conor posted a video to his Instagram – with so many followers, over 2.8 million! – suggesting Jonny might be the dad. It really threw everything into question.

Having been backed into a corner, Jonny now feels he has no choice but to publicly speak out.

He hasn’t contacted me directly. I was really surprised by it all. If I were in his position, I would have handled things very differently. This whole situation shouldn’t have become public.

He says he feels ‘betrayed’ by his ex-wife’s actions.

‘I’ve just tried to be a good dad,’ he says. ‘I’ve tried to get on and deal with my trauma.’

Jonny, who now supports military charities such as Hounds For Heroes, first met Charlotte at a train station in the Scottish Highlands when they both arrived to film the TV show The Traitors, which aired in January 2024.

He remembered that he and Charlotte had a good time, with a playful and flirtatious atmosphere. It was a very friendly and relaxed setting.

I’ve told Charlotte repeatedly that I don’t want a romantic relationship. I had just gotten out of a difficult breakup and wasn’t looking for anything serious.

I’m friendly with everyone, and we all connected really well. We’ve all kept in touch since filming the show.

Jonny appears to be going through a difficult time. Despite having friends and family who care for him, he’s still dealing with health problems, and now he’s also facing a lot of negative attention online.

I really do try to stay positive, but my PTSD is something I live with constantly. Some days are much harder than others, and when I’m struggling, I remind myself that things will eventually get better.

I just… I can’t wrap my head around it! How can Charlotte possibly think Conor is the father? He’s engaged to Kitty, and those DNA tests both came back negative! It makes absolutely no sense to me, seriously. I’m completely baffled by her insistence on this!

She told The Sun that a rare medical condition might explain the situation. She’s done a lot of research, but she’s certain Conor is her daughter’s father.

After talking with doctors, it’s possible I was originally pregnant with twins, but unfortunately lost one very early in the pregnancy.

Sometimes, unusual genetics can occur, like a condition called chimerism. This means a twin might have absorbed some of their sibling’s DNA during development, potentially making a paternity test inaccurate because the father’s genetic markers wouldn’t appear.

Chimerism happens when an organism’s body contains cells with different genetic makeups – essentially, it has two different sets of DNA within it.

It can occur through natural processes like a twin pregnancy, where two fertilised eggs fuse.

Charlotte mentioned that twins are common in her family, so she wouldn’t be surprised if Penelope had a twin sibling.

Jonny believes it’s important for everyone involved – especially Penelope – that her child learns who her father is.
