Trailer park arrests and allegations of lewd behavior towards men AND women: As Andy Dick is spotted ‘overdosing’ in LA, the Daily Mail details his very troubling past

Comedian Andy Dick has faced numerous public scandals, legal issues, and accusations while struggling with addiction.

For over thirty years, the 59-year-old actor best known for the sitcom NewsRadio has often surprised—and sometimes worried—the public. His latest incident, an apparent overdose in Los Angeles, is just the most recent example.

He didn’t share any specifics with TMZ about what happened on Tuesday, but he did say he’s glad he wasn’t seriously hurt.

Beyond being found asleep on some steps during the day, Dick has been accused of sexual misconduct and arrested multiple times. One arrest occurred at an RV park where he was staying with a group of people who broadcast online.

In January 2023, Dick was arrested in Lake Elsinore, California, reportedly after causing a disturbance at a bar.

Okay, so here’s the deal: this individual was initially arrested and taken to the county jail on suspicion of being drunk in public, and also for not complying with sex offender registration requirements. Thankfully, he was able to post a $5,000 bond and was released. It’s a reminder that everyone makes mistakes, and the legal system allows for release while things are sorted out.

In November 2022, Dick was convicted of sexual battery and, as a result, is now legally required to register as a sex offender.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this story closely. The comedian was found guilty and will be spending 90 days in jail after being convicted of sexually assaulting an Uber driver back in April 2018 in West Hollywood. It’s a serious situation and a reminder that respectful behavior is crucial in all interactions.

After being released, he was required to register as a sex offender and attend 52 meetings for both Alcoholics Anonymous and a support group for sexual compulsions, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Before being convicted of groping someone at Uber in 2018, he was arrested for burglary after reportedly stealing tools from an empty house in Santa Barbara.

Surprisingly, Dick seemed to admit to breaking into the house by posting videos of himself inside on Instagram.

I recently came across a rather unusual story. A man was filmed repeatedly stating, ‘This is my new house,’ and things quickly escalated. He ended up being arrested, but thankfully was released on a $50,000 bond. It’s a strange situation, and he’s now pleaded not guilty to whatever the charge may be. It just goes to show you never know what might happen!

According to Santa Barbara Super Court records, the case was dismissed several months later.

One of his most well-known recent arrests happened in May 2022 at an RV park in Orange County.

A struggling comedian battling addiction was living with a group of people who broadcast online, and one of them accused him of sexual abuse.

Police arrested Dick at O’Neill Regional Park, where he had been living in an RV for the past year after losing his apartment. He was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

The arrest gained widespread attention after it was broadcast live and then shared on YouTube. The person who claimed to be the victim, known as ‘JJ,’ explained that he thought Dick had assaulted him because he felt a substance, like lotion or lubricant, on his rear.

JJ then spoke to Dick, who strongly denied the claims. He then asked JJ, ‘Were you hit by my punch?’

The case from the May 2022 incident was eventually dropped after the accuser stopped cooperating.

Honestly, it still bothers me that they just dropped everything! Because the case was dismissed, Dick never even got the chance to defend himself, you know? He never had to plead guilty or not guilty – they just… let it go. It’s like they didn’t even want to hear his side of the story! It’s infuriating!

As a lifestyle expert, I always emphasize the importance of healthy relationships, and it’s deeply concerning to hear about situations involving violence. Back in November 2021, news broke that Dick was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department and charged with felony domestic violence. The allegations were quite serious – reports stated he allegedly attacked his former partner, Lucas Crawford, with a liquor bottle. It’s a stark reminder that domestic violence is a serious issue, and resources are available for anyone experiencing or witnessing it.

I was horrified to learn that Crawford took a terrible hit to the head, and the injury was so severe that the police immediately arrested Dick. Thankfully, Dick was later released after posting a $50,000 bond, but I’m still deeply concerned about Crawford’s well-being.

Roughly a month before this, Dick was arrested after reportedly hitting his boyfriend in the face with a frying pan. He was released on a $30,000 bond the next day, according to E! News.

In June 2021, Dick was accused of assaulting Crawford again, this time allegedly hitting him with a metal chair.

He was arrested for allegedly attacking someone with a weapon, but was released from jail after paying a $50,000 bond.

Dick stated that Crawford initiated the argument, and even alleged that Crawford physically attacked him, breaking his leg with a ‘body slam,’ according to Page Six.

The situation became even more complicated when he was arrested in June 2021, which led to his breakup with his fiancée, Elisa Jordana. She told Page Six that whenever their relationship hit rough patches, he would always return to Crawford.

As a lifestyle expert, I remember when the news broke in December 2019 – the actor received a surprisingly light sentence of just two weeks in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman by squeezing her buttocks. It really sparked a lot of conversation about justice and accountability at the time.

But due to overcrowding in the jail, Dick was released after just one night behind bars.

I remember when this all started – back in April 2018, the Uber driver Dick assaulted finally pressed charges. It took a while, but he was found guilty in 2022. Even then, Dick claimed he hadn’t done it, pleading not guilty right away.

That summer, Dick was caught up in a fight near a New Orleans club. The incident led to the arrest of 46-year-old David Hale.

Let me tell you about a situation that unfolded back in August 2019. There was an incident during a fight where I was accused of knocking someone out – that someone being Dick. Now, my side of the story is that Dick actually made inappropriate contact before the fight even started, and I reacted. Thankfully, after everything was reviewed, the charges against me were dropped. It was a stressful time, but ultimately, justice prevailed.

Let me tell you, this whole situation was really upsetting. Dick strongly refuted those claims made against him, and ultimately, in 2020, he took legal action against Hale and the club. He alleged that Hale’s actions left him with injuries that were not only severe, but unfortunately, permanent and disabling. It’s a tough case, and it really highlights how important it is to address these kinds of issues head-on.

In March 2018, Dick’s wife, Lena Sved, filed for a restraining order due to domestic violence. This order forced Dick to leave their home and stay at least 100 yards away from Lena and their children—Lucas, 33, Jacob, 27, and Meg, 24.

The order came after two alleged incidents involving an intoxicated Dick.

According to Sved, one particularly frightening incident involved her having to lock her intoxicated husband out of their home. He reportedly broke two windows in an attempt to get back inside.

The restraining order was valid until March 2023. Dick never denied what Sved said about him in public.

Page Six reported that he supposedly became very angry with Jacob, overturning a coffee table and breaking dishes while yelling.

In May 2011, a nightclub customer in Dallas, Texas, filed a lawsuit that included another disturbing claim.

Robert Tucker previously sued Dick, alleging emotional distress and defamation after Dick exposed himself on stage at a nightclub a year earlier. The case has since been dismissed.

Okay, so I was there, and it was… a lot. Dick, you know, was performing, and he was dressed up – wig, skirt, the whole thing. But then, while he was moving through the audience, things got really weird. I mean, he… he exposed himself. It was shocking, honestly, and I’m still trying to process it. I’ve been a fan for years, but this was… unexpected, to say the least. I can’t believe I saw that!

According to Vox, the jaw-dropping filing suggested that Dick rubbed his genitals in Tucker’s face.

Dick was never charged with a crime related to this incident, and the lawsuit was ultimately dropped permanently.

In January 2010, Dick was arrested and charged with two counts of felony sexual abuse. The charges stemmed from allegations that he inappropriately touched a bouncer and a customer at a bar in Huntington, West Virginia.

He pleaded not guilty to both counts and was reportedly placed on a pre-trial diversion agreement.

If Dick avoided any legal issues for six months—and he succeeded—the charges against him would be dismissed.

Around two years after the incidents, both victims sued Dick. His lawyer responded by saying the lawsuits were simply an attempt to profit from Dick’s celebrity status.

In July 2008, Dick was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in the parking lot of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Murrieta, California.

According to police reports in the LA Times, the man is accused of pulling the woman’s shirt down and exposing her breasts, which deeply traumatized her.

Police discovered a gram of marijuana and a single Xanax pill on him. He was arrested on charges of drug possession and sexual battery, but was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Prosecutors dropped the sexual battery charge against him because of a lack of evidence.

He entered a plea deal, only admitting guilt to misdemeanor charges of battery and drug possession.

Dick received a sentence of three years’ probation, which included alcohol monitoring, and was ordered to pay around $700 in fines.

In a highly visible and uncomfortable moment, Dick made unwanted physical contact with Ivanka Trump during a February 2007 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

He was seen rubbing her thighs and knee while she tried to politely reject his unwanted advances.

Security had to remove the comedian from the stage after he became disruptive. The host, Jimmy Kimmel, later said the comedian seemed disoriented, and his attempts to prevent him from approaching the future president’s daughter were unsuccessful.

According to VICE, Dick was arrested in Los Angeles in December 2004 for indecent exposure after he pulled down his pants in a McDonald’s restaurant.

Dick first got into trouble with the law in May 1999 when he crashed his car into a utility pole in Hollywood.

The man faced charges for possessing cocaine, marijuana, and drug-related items. Additionally, he was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Following the incident, he initially admitted guilt to the drug charges. However, those charges were dropped after he successfully finished an 18-month program designed to help people avoid a criminal record through treatment and rehabilitation.

Dick became well-known for playing Matthew Brock on the NBC sitcom NewsRadio, which first aired in 1995.

Before achieving critical acclaim for a particular role, he appeared on The Ben Stiller Show and had a few minor roles on television.

Despite a history of problematic behavior, the well-known actor has worked on many popular projects, such as The Lion King and the TV show Less Than Perfect.

Dick has openly discussed his long struggle with addiction. He revealed to VICE in 2016 that he’d been to rehab for substance abuse at least 20 times.

He said that at the time, while staying in a Malibu sober-living facility, he’d always maintained he didn’t have a problem with drugs or alcohol.

I drank whenever I felt strongly – whether it was joy, sadness, or worry. When I wasn’t using drugs or alcohol, I felt down, irritated, and full of rage.

The Daily Mail has attempted to contact Dick and his representatives by phone and email.
