According to Deadline, Baena’s relatives expressed deep sorrow over the recent news and kindly requested seclusion during this challenging period.

After earning a film degree from New York University, Baena made the move to Los Angeles to kick-start his career within the movie industry.

He secured positions as a production assistant under Robert Zemeckis and an assistant editor for David O. Russell, working on various entry-level roles within the film industry while he was establishing himself.

As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, I must acknowledge my admiration for the filmmaker who first garnered widespread recognition with his directorial introduction, Life After Beth – a project that featured the exceptional talents of Aubrey Plaza. Moreover, this visionary has left an indelible mark in the cinematic world with another captivating production, The Little Hours.

Additionally, Baena collaborated on the script for I Heart Huckabees, a film that earned a 2004 Gotham Award nomination in the category of Best Feature.

Apart from that, he is known for penning ‘Life After Beth’, a movie that debuted at Sundance in 2014. Similarly, his production ‘Joshy’ was unveiled at the same prestigious event and received a nomination for the Grand Jury Prize.

The Miami native also worked on Horse Girl and Spin Me Round.

In the realm of TV productions, he was both the director and executive producer for Showtime’s series titled Cinema Toast. Collaboratively, he and his spouse took on the role of directors for this project.

The actress’s final Instagram post with her husband revealed how ‘proud’ she was of him.

In her last social media share from May 2021, the esteemed actress affectionately referred to as “her darling spouse.

I’m incredibly proud of my dear husband, Jeff Baena, for coming up with another movie idea that will take us on a journey to Italy and cause even more mischief,” she wrote in her post.
