Tracy Morgan Vomits madly at Knicks Game, Daughter’s Instagram Sparks Controversy
In the recent New York Knicks game on Monday, I found myself seated beside Tracy Morgan. Unfortunately, during that event, he became ill and vomited all over the court. The woman next to me in this situation was quite well-known as a “nepo baby,” yet her reaction to Tracy’s illness left much to be desired and came off as heartless.
News outlets reported a startling event that occurred with Morgan, resulting in a hospital visit, an incident he later explained as being caused by food poisoning.
Currently, pictures depicting a cringe-worthy instance are being shared widely, and attentive fans have found something peculiar concerning one individual in close proximity to him.
About two seats from Morgan, a 28-year-old woman who is the daughter of a highly renowned figure in Hollywood’s history was seated.
Destry Allyn Spielberg, who is the daughter of Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw, was the one capturing a detailed shot during Morgan’s vomiting episode.
On Tuesday evening, Destry shared a photo on Instagram Stories where she was making a face next to Morgan, captioning it: “I had an amazing time.” (or simply “Had a fantastic time.”)
Later, she shared this heartfelt message: ‘I’m truly relieved he’s alright. In all sincerity, thank you for turning my initial courtside experience into an unforgettable memory. This is certainly an encounter I won’t soon forget,’ accompanied by a laughing-sweat emoji.
In a concerning turn of events, Morgan, aged 56, unexpectedly fell ill while seated at Madison Square Garden during the evening game on Monday – footage of him vomiting was subsequently circulated online.
During the initial half of the Knicks versus Miami Heat match, the performer from 30 Rock received attention from medical personnel after experiencing an unexpected incident. Later on, they were transported off the court in a wheelchair.
On a Tuesday, he shared an update on Instagram from his hospital bed, disclosing that his recuperation was underway and he was managing to stay engaged with basketball.
Morgan expressed gratitude: “Thanks for your worry, everyone! I’m feeling better now, as the doctors say it was food poisoning. Big thanks to my MSG family for taking such great care of me, and a special shout-out to the team who had to clean up the mess. Appreciate you all!
What stands out most is that the Knicks have won when I vomit on the court, so perhaps I should consider doing it again during the playoffs.
In the photo the shirtless comedian – who had electrodes across his chest – gave the thumbs up.
Fans’ photos depicted the comedian, who is a diabetic and had a kidney transplant 15 years prior, appearing to retch close to his own feet, with some of the contents spilling onto the court.

During the match (which concluded with a 116-95 win for the Knicks), play was temporarily halted for approximately 10 minutes while medical personnel attended to the actor.
After the upsetting episode of vomiting, the Knicks fan was guided out of the stadium in a wheelchair. He seemed noticeably troubled, and was spotted clutching a handkerchief to his face. Onlookers claimed they saw blood trickling from his nose as he left.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Morgan’s representatives for comment.
The cause of the medical episode remains unknown.
A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden said to People, following the event: “We wish Tracy a swift recovery and eagerly anticipate his return to the courtside.
Born in the Bronx, Morgan is a loyal Knicks supporter and frequent game attendee.
As a dedicated admirer, I’d share that since the early days, Morgan has battled diabetes relentlessly. In 2010, he bravely underwent a life-changing kidney transplant. Then, in 2014, fate tested his resilience with a near-fatal car accident. This event put him in a coma for an agonizing eight days, yet here he stands, a testament to survival and strength.

Recently, Tracy was spotted at the ninth yearly LOVE ROCKS NYC charity event held by God’s Love We Deliver at Beacon Theatre on March 6. He appeared cheerful, and photographs show him grinning and striking poses for the photographers.
He was also one of the presenters at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert last month.
Previously, he clarified his history with the debated weight-loss medication, Ozempic, during the past year.
In truth, I initially stated that I had put on 40 pounds due to my Type 2 diabetes medication, but it turns out that comment was merely meant for humor.
‘That was just a joke,’ he told E! News. ‘Ozempic did great by me and I was glad to use it.’
Morgan, confessing his usage in August, also mentioned that he uses the substance weekly. He asserted that it significantly reduces his hunger, stating, “It makes me feel full enough to only consume half a bag of Doritos.
Previously, an SNL alum received a kidney transplant from his former girlfriend. This procedure appears to be linked to his diabetes condition.
A few weeks following the transplant, he expressed gratitude towards Tanisha, who was likely Tanisha Hall, his former girlfriend, for having donated one of her kidneys.
2024 saw Tracy advocating for living organ donations with conviction. She expressed, “I’m living testament to the advantages of organ donation. It has granted me the chance to demonstrate that one can continue to live a fulfilling life once a compatible match is found.

‘A generous individual gave me a second chance at life. By joining the New York Organ Donor Registry, you too can make a difference and potentially save numerous other lives.’
Previously, Morgan admitted that upon receiving a diabetes diagnosis, he initially didn’t treat the condition with the required urgency.
‘Then one day I got really sick,’ he told Time magazine in 2009.
The physician explained, “I’m afraid we might need to amputate your foot.” This revelation left me shaken. However, since then, I have been diligently administering my insulin daily. Fortunately, my blood sugar levels have remained below 120 ever since.

In 2012, Morgan was urgently taken to a hospital in Denver for treatment of flu-like illness and dehydration.
In 2014, a drowsy driver operating a Walmart vehicle crashed into the limousine that was carrying comedian and actor Tracy Morgan. The incident resulted in the death of his friend James McNair (also known as Jimmy Mack), and left Morgan in a coma with multiple severe injuries, following the collision.
In discussing the accident with Complex, the comedian revealed that following the devastating limo crash, he found himself having a heartfelt talk with a higher power.
‘I went to the other side. This is not something I’m making up,’ Morgan told Complex.
Is there something you know about what was communicated to me? It was expressed like this: “Your space isn’t prepared yet. There’s still a task left for you to accomplish.
The actor was left with a traumatic brain injury from the horrific crash.
‘You’re never going to be normal after you go through something like that,’ Morgan told Complex.
‘You don’t die for a few weeks and then come back to normal, trust me.’

Life will have a gap filled and new experiences gained – it’s all about moving forward from hereon.
In the year 2019, he was part of another road accident. His Bugatti supercar got hit by a driver on the streets of Manhattan, which led to him being transported away from the location in an ambulance.
The unfortunate event took place nearly three days before the five-year mark since Morgan’s tragic accident in 2014.
In the year 2020, Morgan initiated a divorce process from his wife, Megan Wollover (aged 38), following five years of matrimony. They are parents to a ten-year-old child named Maven.
Additionally, he has three sons – Gitrid Morgan (aged 38), Malcolm Morgan (36 years old), and Tracy Morgan Jr. (32) – who were born to his first wife, Sabina Morgan.
Morgan secured nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards due to his performances on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’, where he worked from 1996 to 2003, and ’30 Rock’ (years 2006-2013), in which he portrayed the character Tracy Jordan.
