Tracker Season 3 Sets First Smallville Reunion Between Justin Hartley & Lois Lane Star In 15 Years

The CBS series Tracker, starring Justin Hartley, is set to explore a significant event from the actor’s character’s past. The show, inspired by Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, centers on Colter Shaw, a skilled survivalist who earns a living by using his tracking abilities to help both the police and ordinary people. Alongside Hartley, the cast includes Fiona Rene, Abby McEnany, and Eric Graise.

Erica Durance will be appearing as a guest star on the show Tracker, bringing her back together with Justin Hartley after many years. The two previously worked together on the popular series Smallville, alongside stars like Tom Welling, Kristen Kreuk, and Michael Rosenbaum. Hartley played the Green Arrow, and Durance was Lois Lane. While Lois ultimately ended up with Clark Kent (played by Welling), she and Oliver (Hartley) had a relationship earlier in the show. Though their romance didn’t last, they remained friends and allies until Smallville ended in 2011. This will be the first time the actors have worked together on screen since then.

It’s been so cool seeing familiar faces from Smallville pop up on Tracker! I was excited to see Jensen Ackles, who played Jason Teague back in season 4 of Smallville, now playing Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw. Interestingly, even though both Jensen and Alaina Hartley were on Smallville, they didn’t actually film together – Alaina joined the show a couple of seasons after Jensen’s time there.

Besides Durance, David Ramsey, known for his role in Arrow, will also be in season three of Tracker. Tracker originally started as a potential spin-off of Smallville, but the creators ultimately decided to go in a different direction with Stephen Amell as the lead. The show became a very successful franchise that ran from 2012 to 2023. Arrow’s influence on The CW continued even into 2024 with the finale of Superman & Lois, another series connected to the same universe.

Actress Génève Durance plays a skilled stuntwoman who asks Colter to help locate her missing boyfriend, Ramsey, after he disappears from a movie set. Durance and Ramsey will be featured in an episode of Tracker airing on March 22, 2026.
