Toy Story 5 first look lands as Pixar confirms Incredibles 3

As a lifelong Pixar enthusiast who grew up with their timeless tales, this D23 Expo has been nothing short of a dream come true! The announcements for Toy Story 5 and Incredibles 3 have sent me into a whirlwind of excitement.

As a die-hard gamer, I can’t contain my excitement! The first glimpse of Toy Story 5 has been unveiled, and the anticipation for more is palpable. Meanwhile, the news that Pixar is working on The Incredibles 3 has sent shivers of joy down my spine. Can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead!

At Disney’s D23 Expo, a flurry of exciting announcements about movies and television shows was shared over the weekend, with even more revelations yet to be unveiled.

In “Toy Story 5”, there’s a beautifully illustrated depiction of the movie’s plot: Our beloved characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and their friends (including Forky who makes a reappearance) discover that Bonny has been engrossed by the soft light emanating from a tablet.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: In a recent event, the legendary director Andrew Stanton, known for his work on movies like Wall-E, Finding Nemo, and all Toy Story films, described the narrative as a battle between toys and electronics.

At the event, another image was displayed, this time a formidable line-up of Buzz Lightyears, their chests aglow with ominous red lights. Meanwhile, on Pixar’s social media platforms, a quick snippet of Buzz, Woody, and Jessie in computer-generated imagery has been shared, along with the movie’s emblem being lifted by The Claw.

Mentioned are upcoming Pixar projects such as the spin-off series for Inside Out, titled Dream Productions (set for release in 2025), the original series Win or Lose (available on Disney+ starting December 6), and a new movie called Hoppers featuring Jon Hamm (slated for release in 2026).

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the upcoming movie “Elio,” set for release in summer 2025, has recently made some exciting changes to its cast, with Zoe SaldaƱa now joining the production.

As a dedicated Pixar fan for over two decades now, I must say that 2022 has been an extraordinary year for this beloved animation studio. Watching “Inside Out 2” surpass even “The Incredibles 2” in box office success is nothing short of incredible to me, given the latter’s impressive run when it was first released. And to top it off, becoming the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, only behind the recent remake of “The Lion King,” which Disney themselves often refers to as live-action, despite its use of animation, is simply astounding. This just goes to show that the magic of Pixar’s storytelling continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impact on our hearts and minds. I can hardly wait to see what they have in store for us next!

Inside Out 2 is out in cinemas now.
