Touch of Frost and The Crown star David Killick dies aged 87 following short illness

Touch of Frost and The Crown star David Killick has died aged 87 after a short illness.

The well-liked actor is most recognized for frequently portraying a pathologist in Touch Of Frost. His representative at Stanton Davidson Associates confirmed that the celebrity sadly passed away on July 4th.

In a heartfelt message, I’m compelled to share the deeply saddening news: Our cherished friend and esteemed client, David Killick, has left us. He found peace on the evening of Friday, 4th July, at St John’s Hospice in North London, after bravely battling a brief illness…

David had been a dedicated actor for more than six decades, cherishing the profession and his coworkers alike. He was admired and held in high regard by everyone fortunate enough to collaborate with him. His absence will undoubtedly be deeply felt.

In the ’90s, he acted in the drama “A Touch of Frost,” sharing the screen with David Jason, and more recently, he appeared as the Prime Minister in season 5 of “The Crown” on Netflix.

The actor had a varied acting career on both stage and screen, featuring in productions like The History Boys, Midsomer Murders, Without Motive, and Bye, Bye Baby, to name just a few of his roles.

As a die-hard theater enthusiast, I can proudly say that I shared the stage with the legendary David in productions like The Importance of Being Earnest and Pressure. It’s an honor beyond words to know that our performances were graced by the presence of none other than Margaret Thatcher, our esteemed Prime Minister at the time.

He appeared on The Judgement of Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who: The Lost Stories.

Killick was born in 1938 in Edmonton, Middlesex.
