The innovative Pocket Play Studio has unveiled their upcoming next-generation turn-based role-playing game, named Toria, which will make its debut towards the end of June 2025. Interestingly, this is the studio’s inaugural project, created by a group of experienced developers, and it’s being crafted for release on both Android and iOS devices.
Get ready for a new adventure full of surprises and branching paths in Toria
In the game called Toria, you embark on an adventure as a mercenary chief, navigating through a captivating narrative, solving challenges, and engaging in tactical turn-based battles. Your quest takes you across the expansive realm of Toria, where you seek fortune, fame, and the secrets lurking behind its people and land.
The distinctive feature of this game lies in its adaptable world structure. Unlike repetitive tasks or predetermined missions, you’ll encounter unforeseen situations and multiple options, making each playthrough feel distinct. However, while it is advertised as a next-generation game, I didn’t notice many aspects that truly set it apart from previous versions.
I really enjoy the game’s beautifully animated world, divided into unique exploration zones such as the Flooded Mine, Gopla Swamps, and others. Each zone also features a dynamically generated map that unveils itself as you move around, ensuring that each playthrough is different, even when you’re in the same region.
You can engage in turn-based combat, collect intriguing characters, and more
I’m excited about its 3D, turn-based battle system that accommodates fights from one-on-one up to six against six. I believe the gameplay will be engaging as it allows you to employ strategies such as Damage Over Time (DOTS), buffs, and debuffs to emerge victorious. To add to that, the characters are intriguing, each featuring their own rich background, personal objectives, concealed talents, and other captivating elements.
As a gamer, I’m genuinely thrilled about Toria. It seems packed with diverse cities, grueling expeditions, strategic battles, dungeon looting for treasure, brain-teasing puzzles, formidable bosses, and an array of characters from barbarians to archers. I can hardly wait for the release day, eagerly anticipating what new adventures await us.
Toria is a new game that’s being worked on right now, set to release on both Android and iOS devices. For further information, be sure to visit their official website.
