Tori Spelling says she is still 'good friends' with ex Dean McDermott as he is her 'biggest supporter'

As a dedicated follower who has witnessed the rollercoaster ride of Tori Spelling’s life, I can attest that her resilience and grace are truly inspiring. Her ability to navigate through the stormy waters of Hollywood, while maintaining an amicable relationship with her ex-husband Dean McDermott, is nothing short of remarkable.

Tori Spelling emphasizes that her separation from Dean McDermott, at 57 years old, deviates from the common, unpleasant portrayal often associated with Hollywood divorces.

She mentioned that we get along very well, and clarified that although some might assume divorces in Hollywood must be contentious, ours are different.

Together, the pair have five kids: Liam (17 years old), Stella (16), Hattie and Finn (both 12), and Beau (7).

Tori mentioned that she and her co-parent get along wonderfully, they are great friends, and he is among her strongest advocates. This was shared with People, following the Annual Stars’ Gala where Tori looked absolutely radiant.

51-year-old actor, known for his role on Beverly Hills 90210, filed for divorce from his spouse, the host of Chopped Canada, in March, stating that they had irreconcilable differences.

In the year 2006, Spelling and McDermott tied the knot, but over more recent times, their marriage encountered rough patches. Dean acknowledges that he bears full accountability for these difficulties in their relationship.

In November 2023, he shared with DailyMail.com that all Tori has consistently desired is my happiness and health, yet I’ve caused her considerable harm and distress.

Today, I’ll be owning up to what happened. This is the most significant correction I will likely need to make in my life.

When they had reached their lowest point, Dean explains that the pair were more like housemates than partners, struggling with financial stress, persistent paparazzi, and a heavy burden of depression. Each evening, he would self-medicate with tequila and drugs, isolating himself, while occasional alcohol-induced outbursts left his 50-year-old wife and children in fear.

He indicated that he might faint, causing Tori to anxiously verify if he was still breathing.

In the summer of 2023, Dean opted for rehabilitation due to his dependency on alcohol. Now, he leads an abstinent life.

Over time, I found myself consuming a bottle of tequila each evening, seven nights a week, while alone and with a lovely family nearby, also taking a variety of prescription medications.

The outcome was due to that, and that series of events is what caused the rift and what transpired between me and Tori.

Speaking from experience, I’ve come to understand that navigating work and motherhood isn’t always a smooth sail. It requires dedication, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to both roles.

As for me, I’m not alone in this; even my children pitch in. The elder ones are currently helping look after the youngest, fostering a sense of unity within our home that feels like a tight-knit community.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must admit that my stint on Dancing With the Stars proved quite demanding due to the significant amount of time it consumed each day.

However, the most challenging aspect for me was having to be apart from everyone while I was participating in Dancing with the Stars as it required my full attention throughout the day, about five hours daily, leaving no room for anything else. Consequently, whatever followed seemed effortless compared to that intense experience.

On September 24, Tori and her dance partner, Pasha Pashkov, were among those who got eliminated from the ABC’s dancing competition. While their children may not openly show it, they are undoubtedly rejoicing to have their mom back at home full-time.

She mentioned that she’s resumed her role as a mother,” she said. “They’re really happy because I can act as their on-call taxi service and fetch them whenever needed, since I no longer need to attend dance classes.
