As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest announcement from Asobimo, Inc., the creators of METRIA and N-Innocence, has truly piqued my interest. The open beta test for their upcoming roguelike dungeon RPG, TOREROWA, is now live on Android devices, and I’ve already dived headfirst into this exciting new adventure!

In a recent announcement, the game development company, Asobimo, Inc., known for creating titles such as METRIA and N-Innocence, has unveiled their upcoming rogue-like dungeon role-playing game, TOREROWA. They have also initiated an open beta test on Android devices, which is currently active and will run until January 10, 2025.

Team up with your friends in a 3-person party to explore various dungeons

TOREROWA is a role-playing game (RPG) with rogue-like elements, where you can join forces with up to three other characters to delve into mysterious dungeons called “Restos”. Your goal is to conquer these dungeons, aiming to obtain valuable loot and safely escape through the exit portals.

What’s great about this game is that multiple teams, up to a maximum of fifteen players divided into five separate groups, start each adventure within the dungeons simultaneously. As a result, the gaming experience becomes more exciting because not only is your party exploring, but you may also encounter and fight other parties for their loot!

During combat with various creatures, encountering the unique or ‘elite’ ones adds an extra challenge. What truly amplifies the gaming experience, though, is having the chance to vanquish opponents and gather their loot, which significantly enhances the game’s appeal and encourages multiple playthroughs.

Customize your character and wage war with some unique weapons

Besides the time restriction for dungeon delving, this game shares similarities with battle royale games by featuring a secure area that decreases in size over time, forcing players to move and adapt. It’s the intriguing mechanics like these that have piqued my curiosity.

Additionally, I appreciate the fun, pop-inspired character design that allows for personalization of aspects such as hairstyles, hair colors, and eye shapes. Another appealing feature is the ability to choose from four distinct weapon types: a two-handed sword, club, two-handed bow, or two-handed staff.
