Actress Jasmine Jobson, best known for her role in Top Boy, has openly announced her breakup with fellow cast member Kadeem Ramsay. She straightforwardly declared that at this point in her life, she identifies as celibate.
In the gripping Netflix crime series we both graced, I found myself playing Jaq Lawrence, whereas my co-star brought Kit to life, brilliantly, as Ramsay.
Back in October 2023, I proudly unveiled my blossoming relationship to the world through a heartwarming snapshot of our shared kiss. However, it is with a heavy heart that I must now confirm we’ve decided to move on separate paths.
In a recent post on her social media platforms, the actress disclosed that she is no longer involved in a romantic relationship, yet clarified she isn’t currently seeking one. Instead, she shared that she’s deeply committed to living life fully. [Source: The Sun]
Currently, I am not in a relationship, but I’m not single either. Thank you for your concern.

Life has me captivated, and I’m dedicated to it, not in romantic terms but in a deep sense. In essence, I’m not single or attached; instead, I’m devoted to life itself. The next person I meet may very well become my future spouse.
Jobson seemingly bid farewell to playing Jaq following the season five finale of Top Boy in 2023.
Actually, last year, the original show’s creator, Ronan Bennett, disclosed discussions he had with Netflix about a possible spin-off centered around the character Jaq.
After winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2020 BAFTA Television Awards, Jobson expressed interest in participating in a spin-off series, should the chance present itself; however, as of now, Netflix hasn’t offered her such an opportunity.

She informed Digital Spy and other outlets that Netflix hasn’t approached her yet, but if the opportunity arises, she would certainly be interested.
Since I found it hard to move on from Jaq, I’d be open to its return, but ultimately, the decision isn’t mine to make.
At present, Jobson is featured in the latest crime thriller on Paramount+ titled “MobLand,” sharing screen time with stars like Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren.
