October is here, and the mobile gaming scene is bursting with new games and fun surprises. Whether you’re looking forward to major releases or discovering smaller, independent titles, there’s a lot to get excited about this month. To help you choose, I’ve put together a list of the top 5 Best Mobile Games to try in October 2025 – they all work on both Android and iOS.
Best Mobile Games of October 2025
1. Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra
Release Date: September 9, 2025
Let’s kick things off with Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, the first team-based game in the famous Dragon Ball series. It features fast-paced 4v4 action-packed battles. You’ll be able to join forces with your most-loved characters to complete goals, beat opponents, and gain new abilities during gameplay.
Being a fan of both the Dragon Ball series and MOBA games, I really liked this one. I especially appreciated the different roles – Damage, Tank, and Technical – and the cool finishing moves. It offers lots of ways to customize your experience, has great graphics, supports cross-play, and more. You can find it on the Google Play Store or App Store to enjoy a new Dragon Ball game.
2. THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK
Release Date: September 5, 2025
One title fans especially love is THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, an idle RPG created by Netmarble. It combines collecting characters with a classic, pixelated art style. In this game, you assemble a team of famous fighters – including Terry Bogard, Leona, and Shermie – and compete in 5v5 battles to reach the top.
I especially enjoy how the arrangement of your team and the characters you choose really change how battles play out. The game’s pixel art style also feels wonderfully retro. It’s even better with simple tap controls to speed things up, characters that constantly improve, and familiar enemies to fight. If you’re already a fan of KOF, or just looking for a relaxed game to play, you should absolutely give this a try on the Google Play Store or App Store.
3. Seven Knights Re:BIRTH
Release Date: September 18, 2025
Coming up next is Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, an RPG remake from Netmarble. It takes the popular original game and updates it with improved graphics and enjoyable gameplay. You build teams, decide the order of skills, and then watch exciting auto-battles unfold, all while enjoying the same stories and characters you remember.
You’ll love experiencing The Evan Expedition’s exciting journey! It’s created using Unreal Engine 5, ensuring top-quality graphics and performance. With beautiful visuals, updated animations, detailed character art, and improved gameplay, it’s definitely worth checking out. Whether you enjoyed the first game or are new to turn-based RPGs, you can find it on the Google Play Store and App Store.
4. Preserve
Release Date: September 16, 2025
If you enjoy relaxing and clever puzzle games, Plug In Digital‘s Preserve is definitely worth checking out, particularly because of its beautiful nature-themed design and peaceful atmosphere. The gameplay involves placing cards representing plants and animals to create ecosystems – like forests and wetlands – and keeping the food chain in balance.
This game feels a lot like Dorfromantik, which is a great thing! You’ll be able to solve puzzles, and there are Classic and Creative modes if you want even more to do. Plus, it’s beautiful to look at, with vibrant environments, amazing landscapes, and calming music. I highly recommend checking it out on the Google Play Store or App Store.
5. Riftbusters: Action RPG
Release Date: September 3, 2025
I’m finishing up the list with Riftbusters: Action RPG, a co-op brawler backed by Supercell. In this game, you take on the role of a Freelancer – a highly skilled mercenary – and your job is to protect against alien invasions while navigating detailed 3D worlds. It offers quick, exciting missions, strong character skills, and waves of enemies, making it a great combination of a looter shooter, a dungeon crawler, and a more involved RPG experience.
I’m really having fun with how easy it is to pick up and play, but there’s also a surprising amount of depth when it comes to building your character and tackling challenges. I especially love customizing my loadout and joining forces with others for those epic boss battles and community events. If you’re looking for a game where you can gear up and save the world, I’d definitely recommend checking it out on the Google Play Store or App Store.
