This weekend, January 23–25, 2026, Netflix has three shows you won’t want to miss: a fresh new comedy, a beloved Western that’s almost gone, and the most popular show everyone is talking about.
Don’t miss the live event Skyscraper Live on Netflix this Friday, January 23rd, at 8 p.m. Eastern! Featuring renowned climber Alex Honnold, it’s sure to be a thrilling watch. And be sure to check out all the popular and highly-rated shows Netflix has to offer this weekend.
Free Bert
Fans of comedy can start watching the new Netflix series Free Bert starring comedian Bert Kreischer on January 22nd. The show, which has six episodes, was created with and stars Kreischer playing a heightened, fictionalized version of himself – similar to how Larry David portrays himself in Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Bert Kreischer’s new series, Free Bert, includes appearances by celebrities like T-Pain and Rob Lowe. It also features strong supporting performances from Chris Witaske (known from The Bear), Matthew Del Negro (Mayor of Kingstown), and Arden Myrin, who plays Bert’s wife, LeeAnn. If you enjoy Kreischer’s comedy or Netflix shows like Tires, you’ll likely love this series.
The Hateful Eight: Extended Cut
Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight first came out as a movie in 2015, but a longer, 4-part version was added to Netflix. That miniseries is being removed on Monday, January 26th. If you haven’t watched the extended cut—it’s 26 minutes longer than the original movie—now’s your last weekend to stream it on Netflix.
Featuring stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, and Jennifer Jason Leigh, The Hateful Eight: Extended Cut is a long film – over three and a half hours! It works really well as a four-part miniseries, so if you have a chance, watch Tarantino’s Western thriller on Netflix before it’s no longer available.
His & Hers
The 6-part thriller series His & Hers quickly became a global hit, reaching the #1 trending spot on Netflix worldwide for two weeks straight after its January 8th release. Starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, this suspenseful mystery kept viewers hooked throughout January 2026 and topped charts around the world.
Now that the new year has started and Netflix isn’t releasing a new thriller this week, it’s a great time to check out His & Hers if you haven’t already. You can also find new shows like the teen drama Finding Her Edge and the cooking competition Just a Dash. But with how popular His & Hers has been, it’s definitely worth revisiting on Netflix this weekend.
