With so much to choose from, deciding what to watch on Netflix can be tough – it’s the world’s leading streaming service, after all! To help you find something great, we’ve put together a few recommendations for this week.
This week’s movie picks offer something for everyone, including an Academy Award-winning film with Denzel Washington, a side-splitting comedy you won’t want to miss, and a brand new animated movie from Netflix.
In Your Dreams (2025)

Netflix’s new animated film, In Your Dreams, is quickly becoming a favorite. It follows two siblings on a magical journey into the world of dreams, where they search for The Sandman, hoping he can help them save their parents’ marriage.
The movie tells a heartwarming and relatable story, brought to life by a talented voice cast including Craig Robinson, Cristin Milioti, and Simu Liu. In Your Dreams enjoyed a brief time in theaters and received positive reviews, currently holding an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Looking for a fun family movie night? “In Your Dreams,” now streaming on Netflix since November 14th, is a great choice for everyone to enjoy together.
Training Day (2001)

With so many movies available on Netflix, it’s hard to say which one is the best. But Training Day is definitely a strong contender. Released in 2001, the film showcases incredible performances from both Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke—Washington even won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role.
The movie Training Day centers on a day spent with Alonzo Harris, a corrupt detective, and Jake Hoyt, a new and eager police officer. As they work together, Hoyt discovers the shocking reality of Harris’s methods, culminating in a dramatic showdown.
Watching Training Day is a gripping and exciting experience, and sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for. It holds up incredibly well, making it a fantastic movie whether you’re seeing it for the first time or revisiting it.
Game Night (2018)

Even though Game Night earned over $100 million in theaters, it’s faded from many people’s memories. This 2018 comedy follows a group of friends whose game night takes a wild turn when they unexpectedly find themselves involved in a dangerous, real-life mystery.
While the funny idea behind Game Night is entertaining on its own, the movie truly shines because of its talented cast, including Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Lamorne Morris, and Jesse Plemons. Everything works together to create a genuinely hilarious and fun night at the movies.
Beyond its humor and engaging actors, Game Night delivers surprisingly clever plot twists, making it one of the most exciting movies currently available on Netflix.
