I’m back with the latest list of leading publishers in the mobile gaming industry, and it’s worth taking a closer look. The traditional powerhouses are still at the top, but there have been some shifts in position. So let’s delve into the specifics of the top mobile game publishers for March 2025.
This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easier-to-read language. The use of “delve” instead of “dive” and “closer look” rather than “details” aims to make the text sound more conversational and engaging, while still providing the necessary information about the list and its contents. The date remains unchanged.
Best Mobile Game Publishers by Downloads for March 2025
For three consecutive months, the gaming publisher Azur Games has held the number one spot in the download charts. This month, they’ve made a significant mark with an impressive 117.2 million downloads. Their winning strategy involves regularly launching several hyper-casual games, which keeps them ahead of their competitors.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to have been part of the success story that saw BabyBus secure the second spot in the children’s educational games market with an impressive 79.2 million downloads. The market has always been vibrant, but BabyBus managed to maintain its strong presence and continue to deliver quality content.
However, the real surprise came from Miniclip, which made a stunning leap from sixth place to third place with an astonishing 78.6 million downloads! This just goes to show that in the ever-evolving world of gaming, there’s always room for new contenders and unexpected triumphs.

It’s possible that several elements contributed to this shift, such as the lasting appeal of its timeless enjoyable games and, moreover, titles from Easybrain, which were acquired by Miniclip for approximately $1.2 billion in a deal with Embracer Group last year.
Voodoo claimed the fourth spot in the top five, boasting approximately 67 million downloads. On the other hand, SayGames took fifth place with a close tally of around 66.7 million downloads. Worthy of mention are Supercent at number eight with about 47.4 million and iKame Games – Zego Studio as well as ABI Games, both making it to the top-10.
Simultaneously, Tencent Games, boasting a robust collection of hit games, managed only the 14th spot with approximately 32.6 million downloads. For some time now, it has been experiencing a decline in rankings, dropping from the 11th position in January to the 12th position in February.
Best Mobile Game Publishers by Revenue for March 2025
Download figures demonstrate popularity, but it’s the revenue rankings that show financial supremacy. Despite showing a different image with its downloads, Tencent Games reigned at the top once more, generating an impressive $496 million, although this represented a significant drop compared to the initial two months.
Century Games ended up in second position, amassing a total of $169.8 million, while Dream Games, the creators of Royal Match, continued their growth trend, clinching third place with $160 million in revenue.

In the puzzle and casual game market, Funfly PTE. LTD. and Playrix claimed the fourth and fifth spots with impressive revenues of $157.1 million and $152.7 million respectively, demonstrating their continued dominance. Meanwhile, Scopely and King solidified their positions in the top 10, generating earnings of $148.5 million and $143.6 million each.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed a bit of a rollercoaster ride in the gaming industry rankings lately. After securing 2nd place earlier this year, NetEase Games unfortunately fell down to 7th last month and then even further to 8th place, earning approximately $121.7 million. On the flip side, The Pokémon Company seems to be picking up speed, wrapping up March with a solid $103.5 million under their belt.
Completing the top 15 list were Supercell with $96 million, Moon Active with $93 million, and Cognosphere Pte. Ltd, which secured the 12th spot with $76.4 million. Furthermore, Niantic, SuperPlay, and Peak Games joined the rankings, earning between $64 million and $71 million.
