Once more, I’m here with the latest rundown on leading mobile game publishers, and April 2025 was another month brimming with surprises and impressive results. Some publishers continue to dominate, while others are stealthily climbing up the ladder. Let’s examine the developments.

Best Mobile Game Publishers by Downloads for April 2025

Azur Games maintains its position as the undisputed download leader, wrapping up April with an impressive 115.9 million installations. This marks the fourth consecutive month they’ve taken the top spot, demonstrating that their approach to hyper-casual gaming remains highly effective and popular.

Once again, I find myself celebrating as BabyBus secures the runner-up position with a staggering 82.8 million app downloads, maintaining its strong presence in the children’s market. Miniclip, which made a significant leap in March, has managed to hold onto third place with an impressive 79.5 million downloads. Voodoo and SayGames have held steady, claiming the fourth and fifth spots respectively, with figures remarkably similar to last month’s tally.

In a recent report, it was revealed that the makers of Talking Tom, known as Outfit7, achieved an impressive 51 million downloads. Meanwhile, Supercent maintained its success with approximately 43.8 million downloads. Additionally, ABI Games Studio, Hungry Games Studio, Crazylabs, and 1SOFT all continued to thrive in the gaming market.

It’s worth noting that Tencent Games managed to secure the 15th spot with approximately 32.2 million downloads, representing a minor decrease from March figures. Despite their significant revenue generation, they appear to be losing some ground in the race for popularity, at least when it comes to installation numbers.

Best Mobile Game Publishers by Revenue for April 2025

Moving on to the financial aspect, it’s no shock that Tencent Games remained at the top of the earnings charts, raking in an impressive $527.1 million in April. This is a significant increase compared to March, and it doesn’t seem like their earnings are going to decrease anytime soon, with four consecutive number one spots this year, and a substantial lead over the competition.

Century Games maintained its reliability, securing the second position with an impressive earnings of approximately $171.4 million, closely trailed by FunPlus with roughly $160.3 million. Both these gaming studios boast robust portfolios that entice players to return and invest more.

In a significant surge, Scopely and King claimed top spots with impressive revenues of $153.2 million and $149.3 million respectively. Their continued success is driven by enduring hits such as MONOPOLY GO! and Candy Crush Saga. To round off the Top 10, Dream Games, Playrix, and NetEase Games also reported consistent earnings.

Other well-known entities making the top 15 list also featured Cognosphere Pte. Ltd ($114 million), Supercell ($95.5 million), Moon Active ($88.6 million), and The Pokémon Company ($78.1 million). Bandai Namco reappeared in the rankings after a brief absence in March.

In this scenario, SuperPlay managed to maintain its position, while Microfun Limited debuted at number 14, causing companies such as Niantic and Peak Games to drop off the list.
