Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Series’ Future Teased by Tony Hawk Again – ‘There Will Be a Future’
As a gamer who vividly remembers the golden era of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, I can’t help but feel a rush of adrenaline upon hearing Tony Hawk himself hinting at the future of this iconic series. Growing up with these games was like skateboarding down the streets of Venice Beach, and the sheer joy they brought into my life is something I’ll never forget.
Based on recent remarks by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk about the future of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, he has provided more insights, implying that there is indeed a promising future ahead.
Previously, Hawk mentioned he has been conversing with Activision once more and working on a project. His most recent remarks were made through a post on his Instagram, where he expressed immense pride for the series and its tremendous accomplishment.
He explains that it significantly shaped his life trajectory, enabling him to earn a living by skateboarding, which remains true today. Moreover, many of the main characters continue to excel and embody the rich diversity of skateboarding culture.
In his own words, Hawk shared that he wholeheartedly immersed himself in every single facet of the project, convinced that Neversoft was crafting something truly extraordinary. He then expressed gratitude towards Activision, the late Neversoft (Rest In Peace), and everyone who played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater during its formative years. Regarding the series’ future, although he isn’t allowed to divulge specific details, there will indeed be further developments in store.
There are whispers about possibly releasing an updated version or a fresh take on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, given the success of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. However, it might just as well be that a brand new game in the series could be under development too. Keep an eye out for more news.
