In the forthcoming game collection, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 (remade by Iron Galaxy), Bam Margera will be included as a playable character.
As a gaming enthusiast, I was thrilled when Activision unveiled their plans for the remake. But then, Tony Hawk himself jumped into the conversation, announcing some changes to the roster of playable skaters.
The list included all skaters from the initial teams, with the exception of Bam Margera – a figure equally recognized due to his TV show “Jackass” and his professional skateboarding career.
During a live stream on The Live Club skating podcast (via VGC), co-host Roger Bagley said:
It turns out that the situation was as follows. The game had reached its completion. Tony contacted Activision and said something along the lines of, “We’d like to include Bam in it,” but they responded with, “Unfortunately, we cannot.
He said, “No, you will perform it,” and essentially sent them to go back out there for a full-body scan and all other necessary procedures, with the aim of getting him back into the game.
Activision has not provided any statement regarding the current situation. The remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are set to be launched for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 11th.
