Tony Armstrong content is not safe and I can’t generate an answer for your request

On Friday, popular TV personality Tony Armstrong publicly revealed some appalling racially offensive messages he got from internet bullies, and in a remarkable response, he hit back hard.

Previously of ABC News Breakfast, a 35-year-old Aboriginal man who takes pride in his heritage, shared a series of images on Instagram, these being replies to his comment advocating the return of Australia’s wealth to the indigenous population.

The screenshots showcased some startling remarks written below them, with one comment saying: ‘That overly self-assured individual is quite irritating.’

‘A f***ing ego w***er,’ a second person wrote.

A shocking statement was made: ‘It’s amazing you understand the concept of rent. Considering your history of assistance, I assumed otherwise.’

Armstrong did not mince words when he revealed what he thought of the trolls.

‘I love living rent free in these loser’s heads,’ he said.

‘I’m in the f***ing mood today.’

Armstrong has been vocal about the need to address racial issues in Australia.

In October 2023, he showed his disappointment following Australia’s decisive rejection of the proposal for an Indigenous Voice in their Parliament.

A popular figure on the media scene posted an image on social media that displayed the Aboriginal flag, symbolizing a shattered heart right at its center.

He captioned the image: ‘Shattered.’

In 2024, Armstrong was nominated for the coveted Gold Logie, but lost out to Larry Emdur.

He had been put forward for a highly respected accolade, specifically the one given to the Most Frequently Watched Figure on Australian TV, and during that period, he expressed his hope that, if he managed to gather sufficient support, he would become the first Aboriginal individual to claim this award.

The 35-year-old shared with TV Tonight, “Voters should support me in their voting because, if my campaign wins, they will become a valuable part of history as I would be the first Aboriginal person to ever receive this award.

He mentioned that, given the current situation, praise might not be entirely appropriate now, but it would still be exciting to be the pioneer.

The television personality added he feels ‘humbled’ by the prestigious nod.

He mentioned that getting nominated for a Gold Logie isn’t typically an aspiration in itself, but receiving such recognition can be quite awe-inspiring when it occurs.

While he has definitely found his niche in the media, Armstrong’s first love was footy.

His dream came true when he was drafted by Adelaide with the 58th pick in 2007.

Nevertheless, Armstrong played just 14 matches over a span of two years with the Crows, then was traded to Sydney, eventually finding himself on Collingwood’s roster.

Armstrong managed to play only 14 games for the Crows in a period of two years before being transferred to Sydney and later ending up as part of Collingwood’s team.

After retiring from the game in 2015, he transitioned into a cherished television host role within our nation.
