Following a wave of affection and encouragement from loved ones and fans, Tones revisited social media on Thursday to share some news about her and her husband Jimmy Bedford’s wellbeing with everyone.
Taron Egerton, the artist behind Dance Monkey, posted a sweet video where he and his partner were seen snuggling, all while Grover Washington Jr and Bill Withers’ song Just The Two Of Us played softly in the background.

She wrote, “Jimmy isn’t big on social media,” but “thanks to everyone who took the time to share some positive comments or reach out to us.
Tones assured fans she and Jimmy were doing fine in the wake of the heartbreaking news.

On Tuesday, it was disclosed that a tragic incident unfolded backstage during the last rehearsal for the finale of the Melbourne show on November 9, involving around 30 choir members, 30 dancers, and approximately 50 crew.
‘I was at the point of the show where I just hit the big note in “to be loved” the first song off my latest album, as I hit the big note I felt blood running down my legs, usually an awkward but manageable situation especially since this was a rehearsal and not a show, except… I was 9 weeks pregnant,’ she wrote.
‘I was almost 100% I was having a miscarriage the night before the biggest show of my career.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, let me share a personal experience. My partner Jimmy Bedford and I concluded our rehearsals around 8:30 pm, and before we knew it, we found ourselves at the hospital. The discomfort I felt began to intensify, and after a restless night, I was informed that I was experiencing a miscarriage.
It was communicated to me around 11am on the day of the performance that the show wouldn’t take place and I’d have to remain at home and rest. Although I wholeheartedly support following medical advice, it’s hard not to think about everyone involved – the creative team, production crew, dancers, choir, and fans.
As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, when I realized that I couldn’t disappoint the crowd, I made a commitment to return. With that promise in hand, I bid farewell and found myself at Rod Laver Arena just as the meet-and-greets were wrapping up and sound checks concluded, right on time for the main event.
Backstage seemed like a whirlwind, yet stepping onto the stage made me feel buoyed. This performance was unlike any other I’ve given; it felt as if an unseen force was lifting me up. My family, both on and off stage, were unaware, but they were instrumental in my elevation. I confided in just three people that night, allowing the collective energy of everyone else to propel me through this extraordinary moment. Simultaneously, I didn’t want to miss out on this spectacle.
She then revealed she received further medical care post-show.
‘After the show I went back to the hospital where the next morning the surgery was completed.’

Tones announced her engagement to Jimmy back in January 2021.

In her post’s description, Tones casually included a ring symbol and mentioned Jimmy, whom she has been with for two years because they are in a relationship.
Jimmy, affectionately known as ‘Bedders’, used to be a bricklayer and a player for the Frankston Bombers in the Australian Football League (AFL) of Victoria. Currently, he travels worldwide accompanying the artist behind Dance Monkey as her stage technician.
