Kelsey, the widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, has shared the incredibly sad thing her daughter said about her father following the stillbirth of her baby brother.
On Tuesday’s Loose Women, the 35-year-old podcast host discussed her life after her husband Tom passed away from a brain tumour in 2022. She also shared her feelings about the heartbreaking stillbirth of her son, Phoenix, this past June.
Kelsey shares six-year-old Aurelia and four-year-old Bodhi with her ex-husband, Tom. She later found love again with Will Lindsay, and they were expecting a child together. Two years after Tom passed away, Kelsey and Will welcomed their baby, Phoenix, who arrived at 39 weeks.
Regarding how she told Aurelia and Bodhi about his death, she shared: ‘It’s been a very difficult time. With Aurelia being six, I was struggling to give her the explanation she needed. I ended up saying, ‘Phoenix has died and Phoenix is with daddy now.’
Kelsey shared Aurelia’s sad reaction, explaining: ‘And she said, “I hate Dad, why does Dad keep taking everyone away?”’ So that clearly wasn’t what I was hoping to hear. I’m really trying to figure out the best way to help my kids understand and cope with this.’

Kelsey has publicly discussed the sadness that has affected his family since the singer’s unexpected death at the young age of 33.
After sharing the heartbreaking news of her baby Phoenix’s stillbirth, she stepped away from social media and public life. Now, she’s opening up about how she’s coping with grief while also supporting her children through the loss.
After sharing Aurelia’s reaction, she spoke about Bodhi, saying: ‘And I think with my little Bodhi, he’s been through so much…‘
I was 35 weeks pregnant when Tom received his diagnosis, and he passed away when he was just 18 months old. I believe I was his hero, and I find comfort in knowing that as long as *I’m* doing alright, he is too.
She heartbreakingly admitted: ‘But with Aurelia, she’s beyond her years.’
Just recently, Kelsey shared a heartbreaking story about receiving cruel messages from online trolls. They callously claimed her stillbirth of Phoenix was ‘karma,’ especially as she began a new relationship. This revelation was deeply emotional for her.
Last September, Kelsey publicly began dating Will and soon after, they shared the news that they were expecting a baby. Sadly, they later announced that their baby had been stillborn. Following this devastating loss, Kelsey revealed that cruel online trolls callously labeled her grief as “karma”.
In an interview with The Sun, she shared that she encountered hurtful comments, including remarks about ‘karma.’ She expressed her shock, stating, ‘I mean, that just shocks me.’ She also revealed someone cruelly said she deserved for her baby to die…

It’s unimaginable to me how anyone could believe someone *deserves* to lose a child. That’s what they were implying – that I somehow brought this suffering and loss upon myself.
Someone likened Phoenix to a pet cat they’d previously lost, which felt incredibly dismissive – as if the loss of their cat wasn’t important or meaningful. It was truly disrespectful.
Thinking about one particularly awful message, Kelsey went on to share: ‘One person wrote, “He wasn’t much of a Phoenix – he didn’t rise from the ashes.”‘
It was truly awful. Seeing that was incredibly painful, especially knowing the baby never had a chance at life. I felt helpless and unable to protect him.
She explained that the abuse wasn’t limited to her; it also affected her children, mother, and partner. Kelsey stated she still wants more children and feels Tom is ‘looking after Phoenix for us’.
