Tom Holland’s “disappointing” video game movie finally premieres on TV tonight
2022 found me stepping away from my role as Spider-Man for a spell, instead embarking on an exhilarating journey as the iconic Nathan Drake in the movie adaptation of Uncharted, a video game I’ve long admired.
Although the film garnered over $400 million globally, which typically guarantees a follow-up, it received a lukewarm response from critics, earning just a 41% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Viewers seemed more lenient towards the film “Uncharted”, currently holding an 89% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If you haven’t watched it so far, this gives you a chance to join the discussion and take your pick in the ongoing debate.
At long last, the television debut of “Uncharted” takes place tonight on Channel 4, starting at 7:50 PM. So, don’t forget to grab some popcorn and settle in for an entertaining Saturday night viewing!
No need to fret if you can’t make it tonight or find yourself perusing this tale on a Sunday, because ‘Uncharted’ is set to air on Channel 4’s streaming platform not long after its original broadcast.
There’s also a repeat airing on Tuesday, February 18 at 9pm on digital channel 4seven.
Just a heads-up, if you’re tuning into Uncharted on Channel 4 tonight, the broadcast will contain edited content due to profanity and violent scenes.
In the UK, the film received a 12A rating, which means that while some mild profanity may have been edited out to adhere to pre-broadcasting restrictions (known as the watershed), the version available on Channel 4’s streaming service is expected to be the uncensored one.
It remains undetermined when Tom Holland will reprise his role as Nathan Drake in “Uncharted 2”, but it is confirmed that he will appear again as Peter Parker in “Spider-Man 4” set to hit theaters next July.
Additionally, he will be sharing screen time with Zendaya in the highly anticipated upcoming film by Christopher Nolan titled “The Odyssey“, slated for release in July 2026.
Tonight at 7:50 PM, “Uncharted” is scheduled to air on Channel 4. You can catch it later on Channel 4’s streaming platform after it has been televised.
