Months prior to his proposal, it is said that Tom Holland obtained the approval of Zendaya’s father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for their relationship.

TMZ reports Holland, 28, was keen to obtain Coleman’s proposal before dropping down to one knee.

According to the report, Holland, who is known for being quite traditional, placed a great emphasis on seeking approval before proposing, and it’s alleged that he met with Coleman several months earlier.

Of course his future father-in-law gave his blessing.

It’s reported that Zendaya’s loved ones are overjoyed about the engagement and forthcoming wedding, holding the actor in high regard. Sources close to the situation mention that they admire the celebrity greatly and view him as a true gentleman.

According to reports, it’s said that Tom held off proposing for several months before finally asking Zendaya, aged 28, to marry him once he found the ideal moment to request her to be his wife.

According to TMZ, it was revealed over the weekend that the proposal occurred sometime between Christmas and New Year, as she showcased a sparkling diamond engagement ring during the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The actor knelt down, in an intimate family home belonging to Zendaya in the U.S., as reported by the site.

Additionally, it was asserted that no relatives were present at the time when he posed the question to the beautiful woman, “Would you be Mrs. Holland?” as it was only the two of them together.

The proposal was also called ‘romantic and not over the top.’

The news of their engagement has surfaced following speculation, as Zendaya fueled engagement rumors by displaying a large diamond ring on her ring finger at the Golden Globes.

As I stood on the glamorous red carpet of this year’s Challengers Awards, I found myself beaming not only from my acting nomination but also due to the deep love I share with my partner, Holland, whom I’ve been blessed to be with since 2021. It was a double reason to celebrate indeed!

Her fiery-orange Louis Vuitton dress and freshly cut bob hairdo definitely caught attention, yet it was the expensive ring adorning her left hand that sparked conversation – and this stunning piece is estimated to be worth half a million dollars.

The dazzling solitaire diamond sparkled prominently on her hand, causing spectators to speculate whether Holland (who was absent from the occasion) had at last proposed marriage.

In 2017, Zendaya and Tom crossed paths for the first time on the movie set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” yet they’ve primarily managed to maintain their relationship as a private affair away from public scrutiny.

Previously, Tom explained why he values privacy so highly, stating that his bond with Zendaya is something he holds as his greatest sanctuary.

As a connoisseur of life’s finer aspects, I value my relationship above all else and strive to maintain its sanctity. I choose discretion over disclosure, endeavoring to keep our shared journey as secluded as the heart within me.

He mentioned, “We both believe it’s best for us as a pair to proceed in this health-conscious manner, so I make an effort to stay as detached from Hollywood as I can.
