Tom Holland ‘is out of the running to be the next 007’ as more is revealed about the new James Bond storyline

Tom Holland will reportedly not be 007 in the upcoming James Bond.

As a huge fan, I’ve been following the news about who will play Batman next, and it’s all so unclear! But apparently, according to The Sun, Tom Holland – you know, Spider-Man – has a deal with Marvel that prevents him from even being considered for the role. It’s a shame, I think he’d be amazing, but it looks like he’s officially out of the running.

Because of his contract, he can’t accept any work that would interfere with his filming schedule for Spiderman.

An insider told the publication: ‘Tom can’t play two superheroes, it just won’t happen.’

There are also suggestions that the story will focus on the potential risks of artificial intelligence.

According to a source close to the production, the next James Bond film will be a fresh start for the franchise, marking a new era with artificial intelligence playing a key role in the story. The writers are planning to explore this theme in a creative and entertaining way.

‘This next Bond movie has to feel bold, fresh and relevant — especially after such a long break.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Tom Holland’s representatives for a comment.

Over the years, several popular actors – such as Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jacob Elordi, and Harris Dickinson – have been considered for the part.

The franchise’s 26th film will go into production next April at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire.

Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, is writing the story, and director Denis Villeneuve wants to cast a British actor who isn’t famous as the next James Bond.

Denis is reportedly set to lead the search for the next James Bond.

The James Bond film series hasn’t had a main actor since Daniel Craig’s last appearance in ‘No Time to Die’ in 2021.

The director, age 57, will be making his debut directing a James Bond film and has been given the important job of choosing the next actor to star as 007.

According to Deadline, the filmmaker plans to start working on the project once he finishes making Dune: Part Three. He’s also looking for a new, relatively unknown actor for the part.

The next James Bond will be a male character from the British Isles, staying true to the original vision of author Ian Fleming.

As a huge Bond fan, I know we’re all eager to find out who’s taking on the 007 mantle next, but it looks like we’ll have to be patient! Despite years of everyone talking and guessing, it won’t be revealed until 2026. It’s a long wait, but hopefully, it’ll be worth it!

Earlier this year, Taron Egerton dismissed rumors about potentially becoming James Bond, stating he’s not polished enough for the part and considers himself too unconventional.

Many people expect the 35-year-old actor to be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig, but Taron Egerton thinks there are plenty of other talented, younger actors who could also do a great job.

When asked if he’d be interested in playing James Bond, he told Collider he didn’t think he’d be a good fit, explaining that he’s ‘too messy’ for the role.

‘I think I’m not— I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig’s tenure.’

He admitted he didn’t think he’d be right for the role, and believed there were many talented, younger actors who would be a better fit. He felt he wouldn’t do it justice.

Taron admitted that taking on the role of James Bond would be a huge challenge. He also hinted that the massive scope of the project might not be the right fit for him.

The actor, known for playing Sir Elton John in the 2019 film *Rocketman*, clarified that he definitely still wants to pursue ambitious projects and isn’t opposed to taking on more mainstream, popular roles in the future.

I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I’m prioritizing creative projects and opportunities that genuinely interest me.

‘But, you know, I’m sure I won’t feel that way forever.

Playing James Bond is a big commitment, and as far as I know, no one has even asked me to consider the role.
