Tom Holland recently shared the reason behind him seldom attending red carpet events alongside his girlfriend, Zendaya. In a recent interview during a photoshoot, he offered some insights into their very private relationship.

In July 2021, the two actors, each aged 28, made their relationship public following years of speculation and previous denials.

In the year 2016, during the production of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the two sweethearts crossed paths. Zendaya took on the role of MJ alongside Tom Holland who played Peter Parker.

In a recent chat with Men’s Health, Tom opened up on the reasons behind his frequent absence from red carpet events alongside his high-profile companion.

He said: ‘It’s because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.’

In sharing my enthusiasm, I offered a peek into the delightful bond they share, being pet lovers like myself.

The pair share a dog, Noon, and recently got another, a Doberman named Daphne. 

He told the publication of Daphne: ‘She’s so cute, man, it’s actually a joke!’ 

In a different part of the conversation, he discussed his choice to abstain from alcohol and introduce an alcohol-free beer line.

He mentioned that a pivotal moment for him quitting alcohol was when his older brother recognized it was becoming an issue.

Reflecting on a past occasion, I found myself en route to my brother’s place for our regular poker night. My intention was to abstain from alcohol. However, as the evening progressed, I found myself inquiring from my sibling if he could drive us home, as I felt an unexpected urge to partake in some beverages.

Tom shared that his brother was taken aback by his proposal, implying it was a surprising and enlightening experience for both of them.

‘It’s really helpful when the people closest to you start going, ‘Are you sure?”

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in celebrity culture, I must say that it’s fascinating to witness such heartwarming moments as Tom choosing to spend Christmas with Zendaya and her family. It’s always refreshing to see celebrities forging genuine connections and fostering a sense of unity with their partners’ families, especially during the holiday season. Discussing his upcoming schedule, Tom mentioned, “This year, I’ll be in the United States. I’ll be staying with my girlfriend’s family, which promises to be an enjoyable experience. As for our exact location, it remains a mystery.

He mentioned that the initial occasion he celebrated Christmas outside his home was in America, and regrettably, it wasn’t a preference he had chosen.

Despite producing two films back-to-back during the pandemic and completing two press tours without contracting COVID, I unfortunately caught it on the day following the Spider-Man 3 premiere – my last day of work. Originally, I was supposed to fly home the next day for Christmas, but I ended up having COVID instead.

As I look back on last Christmas, I can’t help but feel a sense of melancholy wash over me. For two long weeks, I found myself isolated in what was essentially a guest room, far from the warmth and joy that usually fills our family home during the holiday season. It was a stark reminder of how quickly life can change and leave us feeling lonely even amidst the hustle and bustle of the most wonderful time of the year. But as I sit here now, reflecting on that difficult chapter, I am filled with hope for what is to come. This year will be different. This year, I will make it great. I will surround myself with love, create new memories, and embrace the joy that Christmas brings. Despite the challenges of the past, I am optimistic for a brighter future.

It’s likely they’ll celebrate the coming year as a family if his bond with the Euphoria actor continues to grow as planned.

Instead of distributing the funds to each family annually, let’s consider bringing all the families together instead.

Over the last few weeks, since my partner is a vegetarian and she has been occupied with work, I have been staying in Boston and taking care of most of our meals. Unfortunately, they haven’t been very satisfying.

Having grown up in a bustling household where cooking was always a communal affair, I’ve come to cherish the act of preparing meals for myself and my family. While there have been instances where ordering in seemed like a more convenient option, I find immense satisfaction in cooking at home. It doesn’t stress me out; instead, it provides a sense of accomplishment that no delivery can match.

However, I must admit that I do require a tidy kitchen to fully enjoy the process. A cluttered space only adds to my stress levels and makes me less efficient in the kitchen. So, before I embark on my culinary journey, I always ensure my workspace is clean and organized. This small ritual helps me feel calm and focused, allowing me to create delicious meals with ease.

Tom revealed Zendaya’s specialty in the kitchen is an Italian dish favoured by celebrities. 

He commented, “In truth, I adore the spicy vodka pasta dish that Zendaya prepares. It’s scrumptious, no doubt about it. Absolutely, it’s excellent. However, I wouldn’t say the vodka adds a significant flavor.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but endorse the advantages of dating someone from the same profession, particularly fellow actors. This arrangement offers numerous perks, such as the ability to cohabit effortlessly during filming on location and the unique skill of interpreting subtle cues through a single glance – a language all our own.

In reality, Tom shares that spending time with Zendaya, who has previously appeared in both “The Greatest Showman” and this past year’s “Challengers,” is the most remarkable experience he’s had so far.

As a dedicated follower, I can share this: ‘They appreciate it greatly, just one hotel room for myself. A separate driver too. We might not seem so peculiar now. Let me clarify, it’s all about the work, you understand? Honestly, it’s a blessing from above. Indeed, it’s the best thing that’s ever come my way.’

I’ve been there myself, on set, receiving a note from the director that I didn’t entirely agree with. It’s a peculiar moment when you both share a silent understanding – a knowing glance – of the conversation that will undoubtedly happen later, off-camera. This experience is a testament to my journey as an actor, where I learn to respectfully challenge and adapt, all while maintaining a professional rapport with those who guide me in bringing my character to life. It’s not always easy, but it’s the essence of collaboration that makes this profession so rewarding.

Although he introduced the non-alcoholic beer brand BERO this year, a venture dear to him due to his sobriety experience, Tom acknowledges that embarking on another fresh entrepreneurial venture is currently not within his plans.

He mentioned that acting remains a significant part of his plans, and he’s eagerly looking forward to commencing work on Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, where Zendaya is also featured in the cast.

Tom said: ‘I don’t foresee myself becoming like an entrepreneur and like building companies.

This matter is deeply connected to me, making it seem as though it was my own choice to pursue it. For instance, if I were to establish a leisurewear label, it would feel unnecessary given the abundance of existing brands. Yet, that’s just an example; I genuinely appreciate acting.

‘One of the beautiful aspects of it is that you can dip out. But I haven’t worked for three years.’

As a seasoned film enthusiast with years of experience in the industry, I can confidently say that I have witnessed many projects at different stages of development. However, when it comes to this upcoming project, I must admit that I find myself in unfamiliar territory. Despite my excitement about the potential of what’s to come, I currently know very little about it. The secrecy surrounding the project is so tight that even a hint of information has not been leaked. As someone who thrives on knowledge and anticipation, I can only imagine the level of intrigue that this mysterious project must be generating among fans and industry insiders alike. It’s a testament to the power of storytelling and the allure of the unknown, and I cannot wait to see what unfolds.

‘I had a great encounter with him. He gave me a casual overview of his project, and I believe when he’s prepared, he’ll reveal its details. To confirm, it’s a movie directed by Christopher Nolan.’
