Tom Holland cut from Anne Boleyn beheading as BBC disguises nine-year wait for Wolf Hall sequel

As a dedicated fan and follower of Tom Holland‘s career, I must say that this move by the BBC feels like a slap in the face to a rising star who has since become one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors. It’s as if they’re trying to erase history itself!

It’s an act of trickery and deception worthy of the scheming Thomas Cromwell himself.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: To accommodate my unavailability for the upcoming sequel, starting tonight, the creative team behind Wolf Hall wisely decided to edit out my scene from the initial series, a decision made by none other than the esteemed BBC.

Back in 2015, I was just another unrecognized face when I landed the role of Cromwell’s son Gregory in the initial Wolf Hall production. Now, fast forward to today, I stand among Hollywood’s most generously compensated actors.

In the edited flashback, they’ve excluded the 28-year-old, despite the fact that the footage is taken from a scene where he was originally present.

In continuation, Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light resumes, featuring Sir Mark Rylance reprising his role as Cromwell and Damian Lewis returning as King Henry VIII. The narrative picks up right where it left off, at the climactic point of Queen Anne Boleyn’s bloody beheading.

In the abridged depiction, the audience will witness a scene where Claire Foy’s character, portraying the Queen, distributes money among onlookers as she approaches the scaffold.

In this rephrased version, the character Gregory, portrayed by Holland, queries his father about a woman’s odd behavior: ‘Why is she constantly gazing towards that tower?’

The elder Cromwell replies: ‘Because she thinks there’s still hope.’

However, during the remake, it is Charlie Rowe – the actor known for his roles in Vanity Fair and Slow Horses, aged 28, who will be playing Gregory.

After making an initial appearance in the first series, Holland has taken on the role of Spider-Man for a total of six occasions.

Restaging a scene from “Wolf Hall” by the BBC could spark rumors that he was financially excessive for the sequel, featuring not only Sir Jonathan Pryce but also Dame Harriet Walter and Alex Jennings as well.

Back in the early part of this year, Tom Hiddleston’s agent mistakenly sent him a substantial check intended for Tom Hardy. The mix-up was quite remarkable as it represented a seven-figure bonus for a solitary movie role.
