Tom Holland and Austin Butler team up for new movie
As a fan with a heart for high-octane action and captivating performances, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming racing movie, “American Speed,” featuring Tom Holland and Austin Butler as the Whittington Brothers! Having followed both actors’ careers closely, their team-up in this project feels like a dream come true.
In a brand-new racing film, Tom Holland and Austin Butler will join forces, portraying their characters as on-screen siblings.
According to Variety, the duo is set to appear in “American Speed,” a movie inspired by the real-life tale of the Whittington Brothers. This film is said to portray the 1980s IMSA Scandal, during which several racers were indicted for using funds from illicit activities to finance their racing campaigns.
For the given project, Holland and Butler have been officially selected as the actors, purchased by Amazon MGM Studios. Charles Roven has been confirmed as the producer, while Dan Wiedenhaupt will handle the scriptwriting duties.
Although American Speed is still quite new, Holland, who is well recognized for playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has just been added to the cast of Christopher Nolan’s eagerly awaited upcoming movie, teaming up with Matt Damon on the project.
Tom Holland, who played Nathan Drake in the movie version of Uncharted, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the as-yet-unnamed film, stating, “When I got the chance, it was like the call I’d been waiting for my whole life.
This feels similar to receiving the call about Spider-Man a decade ago – it’s an incredible experience for me. I’m immensely proud and genuinely thrilled. All I can express is my immense excitement and obvious honor, but I can’t reveal much more because, truth be told, that’s all I currently know.
Although Holland still needs some time before his appearance in Nolan’s mystery project and American Speed, the actor recently gave an update on a fourth Spider-Man movie, expressing satisfaction with the initial draft of the script.
He expressed that the concept was somewhat unconventional and distinct from our past projects. However, he believes that the audience is going to be quite captivated by it. This statement came after he mentioned that the script had sparked a strong reaction in him.
American Speed has no release date.
