Tom Hiddleston hints at future appearance on The Celebrity Traitors and even knows which side he would take as actor calls hit show ‘the best television I’ve ever seen’

BBC officials responsible for choosing the cast are now actively preparing after Tom Hiddleston hinted he might join the next season of The Celebrity Traitors.

The celebrity edition of the popular game show averaged 13 million viewers per episode and became one of the BBC’s biggest hits of the year when it was broadcast in October.

Tom Hiddleston, 44, who openly loves the show, hinted he might make a surprise appearance at Ardross Castle when the new season starts, and seems interested in the possibility.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 with Richie Anderson, he described The Traitors as a brilliant and addictive show, possibly the best he’s ever watched. He particularly expressed enthusiasm for a celebrity version.

The new show began on January 1st, and while most of the participants seemed eager to play the role of a traitor, Tom Hiddleston thinks it would be more compelling to remain loyal.

He expressed a desire to be a detective, explaining that it allows you to investigate and understand people while maintaining a clear conscience and pure heart. He enjoys the process of observing and figuring things out.

Being a traitor is essentially a performance – a constant game of deception. You have to hide your true intentions and essentially lie to everyone around you.

That’s an interesting thought, actually. I’m not sure, but I think genuinely believing would be more about satisfying a personal curiosity.

The show’s fourth season comes right after the very successful celebrity version, which comedian Alan Carr won in its first season.

During Friday night’s episode of the reality TV show, Judy, who worked as a child liaison, was eliminated by the other contestants. The decision came after a heated discussion where fellow contestant Sam, an account manager, voiced his doubts about the 60-year-old.

She has become the first person to be banished from the castle.

As I wrapped up my time, I wanted to express how incredible you all have been – I’ve genuinely had a wonderful experience! And I want you to know, what you see is what you get – I’m simply being myself, and I stay true to my values.

Everyone at the discussion table was surprised when she shared who she was, and contestant Roxy expressed her annoyance, urging the others to think for themselves instead of just following the crowd.

As a lifestyle commentator, I have to say this week’s events were truly shocking! We saw Netty, a lovely nursery school teacher, tragically become the first victim – and, sadly, the first person to depart from the castle. It set a really unsettling tone for everything that followed.

I was absolutely devastated to learn, like everyone else, that my favorite character, a 42-year-old woman from Glasgow, had been written as dead in the latest storyline. The letter confirming it felt like a real punch to the gut – it was a total shock to find out she’d been ‘killed’ off!

She said: ‘I think I would’ve been a really good faithful.’

She was the first person targeted by the group of traitors, which included lawyer Hugo, communications chief Rachel, and cybersecurity expert Stephen.

After getting a list of three suspects from a secret mole – whose identity remains unknown, even to the audience – the group decided on a course of action.

Host Claudia Winkleman unveiled a surprising new development during the premiere of the popular BBC show on Thursday night.

It’s terrifying to watch, but the person secretly choosing who to target has narrowed it down again. This time, the potential victims are Ben, a retired man, Reece, who works at the sweet shop, and poor Maz – she was on the list last night too, which is really worrying me. I just hope they can figure out who’s behind this before anyone gets hurt.

Okay, so things got really interesting in the house. We were all trying to figure out who the potential mole is, and honestly, the conversation took a bit of a turn. It seems like everyone agrees the secret traitor is likely a woman. Rachel actually put it pretty bluntly – she pointed out that with three guys already exposed, it had to be a female playing the game.

Contestants also successfully added another £8,750 to the prize pot in Friday’s challenge.

Amanda, Faraaz, and Jade each received shields, which will protect them from the traitors’ next attempt to eliminate a player.

The Traitors continues on BBC One and iPlayer on January 8 at 7.45pm.
