Tom Hardy’s “deeply flawed” biopic Legend is now available to watch on Prime Video.
The true-crime movie first premiered back in 2015, featuring Tom Hardy portraying both Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the notorious twin gangsters hailing from East London.
In a nutshell, Brian Helgeland’s film chronicles the criminal exploits and personal connections between the two characters, culminating in their incarceration for life in 1969.

Yesterday, the film titled “Legend” became available on streaming service Prime Video in both the United Kingdom and Ireland. If you’re on the hunt for your next movie to watch, consider this your lucky find!
In simpler terms, the film “Legend” received a 60% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The general agreement among critics was that, as a gangster biopic, the movie had several issues, but it managed to be impressive due to Tom Hardy’s performance, especially since he played two roles in it.
In Digital Spy’s initial appraisal, we noted that Helgeland seems to have been swayed by the popular notion – the myth – which portrays the Krays as heroes emerging from London’s criminal underworld rather than their actual background. This simplification appears to be a deliberate attempt to reinforce this image.

This narrative seems less like their defining chronicle and more like an alluring homage to the way they established themselves as significant figures in London’s historical lore.
Hardy is set to have a packed schedule ahead, featuring in the upcoming Netflix film “Havoc,” directed by Gareth Evans from “Gangs of London.” This action-thriller finds Hardy portraying a detective tasked with rescuing a politician’s son following a failed drug transaction. In the process, he uncovers deep-rooted corruption and conspiracies.
Apart from that, he’s set to star in the crime thriller “Blood On Snow” alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Additionally, he will feature in a new gangster series by Guy Ritchie, where he joins forces with Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.
Legend is available to stream now on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
