Need a little something to liven up your Monday? Tom Hardy’s thrilling crime movie, The Drop, is on TV tonight, March 30th.
The movie, which was released back in 2014, will be airing on Film4 at 10.50pm.
The film The Drop, set in Brooklyn, centers around Bob Saginowski (Hardy), a reserved bartender whose bar is often used by the mafia for illegal activities.
When masked robbers hit the bar where Bob works, he’s unexpectedly pulled into a risky situation. Now, with dangerous gangsters demanding the stolen money back, Bob must decide how much he’s willing to risk to get it recovered.
The thriller features Noomi Rapace (known for Jack Ryan), Matthias Schoenaerts (The Danish Girl), John Ortiz (Fast & Furious), and Elizabeth Rodriguez (Orange Is the New Black), and is directed by Michaël R Roskam.

Even though it was released over ten years ago, The Drop still has an 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 198 reviews. Reviewers especially liked the strong acting and compelling story, and The Guardian described it as a “gripping drama.”
